I just matched a freaking flying arround full auto Sidearm cheater (in QP by the way so how bad is the situation?). How is Battleeye not detecting this stuff? Is it deactivitated at the moment? Is the ingame report tool at least fast enough to get this person banned?

Bungie have a good anti cheat but people keep making new updated cheats that works around it. It’s similar to Computer Virus VS Antivirus. You got things covered till this moment but someone make a virus that goes around it and so antivirus have to release a update to respond it. Try reporting for me it took couple days and the cheater got banned.

Basics for you.... but you should already know them anyway. People have been cheating in games since before they went online and will be well into the future when Destiny is just a footnote in a history book. Long gone are the days of a lone programmer in a basement creating cheats. Now it is whole teams of programmers in offices making millions every year from creating and selling their products.... they even have subscription services. ALL game studios spend fortunes creating or buying the latest anti-cheat systems but the cheat creators are constantly creating new cheats to bypass them. The studios including Bungie then spend more time and money in creating new anti-cheat systems or updating old ones to counter them in a never ending circle. The last and best anti-cheat detection systems is US. This is why all online games have a report system and Bungie has a report form found on Bungie.net to inform Bungie of any SUSPECTED cheaters. Every day we see people kicking off about being banned on the #Help forum page and these are only the ones who think playing nieve, having a excuse, promising not to do it again or making a fuss will get them back in. The only true way to avoid cheaters is to never play a multi-player game ever again.

Battle eye is terrible on its own Never really worked And the punishment is still just account based instead of console ID But even if they had the greatest anti cheat cheater would continue to invade and do what they do .... Hopefully he get want he deserve

you mean bungie not working. they do nothing
-
They don't have one

Bungie doesn't care about cheaters, so I guess we shouldn't either. (But when I see fools teleporting around like glitchy-@$# Thrall or hip-firing sniper rifles while jumping and dodging or someone taking literally zero damage from multiple successful sword strikes, I report that sh-t, even though nothing will happen and it's just another 5 seconds of my life I'll never get back.)

Pvp isn't working. You can pretty much pinpoint the moment d2 pvp stopped working, that's when they started pre production of Marathon. So 2years give or take...
-
1 ReplyPVP is and always will be a raging dumpster fire of cheaters unless bungLe does a complete overhaul on the outdated (even for 2014) pile of junk it is running on. Not buying marathon if it runs on the same trash heap design

If you grabbed a video, you can use https://help.bungie.net/hc/en-us/articles/360049497451-Report-Suspected-Cheating which will speed up bans a lot.
