With Bungie saying they simply don't have the resources to add what we want as players into Destiny 2 and We know the studio is hard at work on both Marathon and the mobile game. I may not like this but I understand the limited resources.
My question for the Devs is:
Will we, the players of D2, ever see a return to the focus (Both Devs and resources) the studio once had for Destiny ever again?

I don't see anyone asking this; my fear is exactly this.....we won't.
We went from being an Only Child to having multiple siblings and we just won't ever get the attention we used to. Bungie needs to have the talk with us...and let us know.... What is the plan for the future?

To milk the shills dry untill they wise up, then start hyping Not Really Marathon and whatever POS Matter turns out to be -
5 RepliesStarfield is my plan. I’ll buy final shape and finish the story but otherwise I am done. The constant changes, nerfs and meta shifts had grown tiresome. My clan has moved on except a few and everything worth actually doing is such a slog. Power is now pointless. Just not the game I fell in love with anymore

The plan is to milk D2 until it dries out, invest as little as possible while milking as much as possible. It's a plan that cannot fail, as long as Maarthon is a success.
-
2 RepliesMilk you for as much money as possible through eververse while doing the bare minimum and expecting you to like it.
-
mobile game? for now there is no mobile game only a new project with no name
-
Destiny that only Bungie itself can take away.

They're literally going to tell you the plan in 11 days.

Minimise effort Maximise profit It’s that simple

Ok, here's the plan Sometime today, old Biff will show up to give young Biff the Almanac. Above all, you must not interfere with that event. We must let Old Biff believe he succeeded, so that he'll leave 1955 and bring the DeLorean back to the future. Once Old Biff is gone, grab the Almanac anyway that you can. Remember, both of our futures depend on this.

1 ReplyIt's obvious what their plan is... Marathong!

They’re using their resources on what they feel the majority of the paying player base wants. PvP and Gambit are part of FTP. Until they remove FTP and put a free 30 day trial that’s available once a year, they won’t invest into those game modes. I feel for PvP mains that do pay but they’re outnumber by FTP that complain about everything.

The community have to accept that the end of Destiny 2 is around the corner, this will be a blessing as the game isn’t being supported as the community would like it to be so hence get final act out the way and let this game rest in pieces.

2 RepliesI am beginning to think Activision was the studio doing all the heavy lifting as Bungie was crying in the background that they actually had to roll up there sleeves and do work. Bungie broke away and sold the big lie that they were free to do bigger and better things! YIKES YIKES YIKES YIKES YIKES YIKES YIKES YIKES YIKES YIKES YIKES YIKES YIKES YIKES And for good measure OOF OOF OOF OOF OOF OOF OOF OOF OOF OOF OOF OOF OOF OOF OOF OOF OOF OOF OOF

1 ReplyI think Final Shape is the last DLC they launch. I don't think it will come with a full year of seasons. I think their plan is to put the game into one giant rotator mode. You have 4 seasonal events (Dawning, Games, Solstice, Haunted). I think they will continue to rotate those through during their respective times and continue to make cosmetic event cards they sell for Silver along with other stand alone cosmetics. I think they will also continue to build armor sets for each. I think they will decide what the Iron Banner schedule looks like. Maybe once a month. Trials will continue on weekends. There will be full raid, exotic mission and dungeon rotations. I think there will be something like a 3 month rotation for GM's, recycled artifact mods, and maybe seasonal challenges. It will basically look like what you get in a year right now minus any new content. Think Division 1. For a long time after the launch of Division 2, and maybe even to this day, they still did/do all the rotations for when that game was active. I think that's just what Destiny 2 will be now. Rotations of old content but nothing new. People are sleeping on the $1.2 billion part of the Sony deal that is set aside for employee retention. That's enough to power that studio for another 4-5 years. So I don't think there is any desperation that new Destiny 2 content is needed.

2 RepliesBungie buy more lube, playerbase get……
-
By the evidence of what they are doing, to get players to stop playing this game. And it’s working.
-
1. Release the Final Shape 2. ??? 3. Profit
-
2 RepliesNobody is asking it yet because the Final Shape showcase is in 2 weeks. If nothing is shown there, that's when the questions will come out in force
-
After final shape we will have a small skeleton crew at best They did say after final shape we would see more of the vex but what we will see is the vex void dlc that should have come in d1 being made a full blown expansion at full cost with no content
-
The plan for the future ? Develop the ‘product’ as a vehicle for the delivery of microtransactions. It seems to be where the gaming industry is headed.

Unlikely.
