Farewell to Bungie, you got too greedy and too lazy.
For a little background, I started playing Destiny 2 during the Season of the Lost about 2 years ago, so I have been playing for a while.
Since then I have seen continuous Nerfs of exotics I liked using, a seriously declining story, and gamplay that can only be classified as repetitive and tedious.
Recently, I found that I was regarding playing Destiny 2 along the same lines as working a job.
The game stopped being fun for me.
There is also the deafening silence from the developers regarding the players concerns.
With the recent focus on microtransactions I wondered how much money I had spent on the game, so I downloaded my Steam purchase history and totaled the Destiny 2 transactions.
The number shocked me.
$2,440.25
Between the season passes (with buying season passes for my grandchildren) and the silver purchases, Destiny 2 has accounted for 28.51% of my total Steam purchases since I opened my Steam account in 2007.
So, is Destiny 2 a game that is worth spending 2.4k on?
As the game currently stands, no. Not even close.
Then the Bungie developers remarks about Baldur's Gate 3 really sealed the deal.
That game is an example of the what the care and dedication from Destiny 2's developers SHOULD be. Especially when I have sunk so much money into the game.
No more, I am uninstalling the game and I do not anticipate I will be back.
Thank you for the good times, but you have become too greedy and lazy to justify me spending any more money on your product.

4 RepliesI've been playing since d1 beta (not a flex - a mere starting point). I have spent exactly ZERO on micro transactions to the point were I still have the 1000 silver they gave us because they botched something. I have bought the games/addons/seasons but even if I stop playing now, I still think I have my monies worth over the 5/6k hours I have in game. Sounds like you're your own worst enemy.

They are THAT disconnected and stubborn that they literally think that their capitalistic greed route combined with absolutely zero effort content for their main franchise and only current game on the market is justified. Bungie is literally fed up with the community (they admitted that to some content creators at a summit) they dont want to listen to feedback but say they do, they are fatigued with destiny content and they are not gamers who develope AND play games. They are just business people who even provide trainings to their new managers in how to milk their players to the maximum with gacha systems and addiction feeding gameplay loops. They are the definition of greed. They used to "make games they want to play". Yea those times have passed 4 years ago.

D2 base game was all the info anyone needed to know that this business was turning Destiny into trash taking a dump all over the original Bungie's work.

I shudder to think what I have spent in 10 years between the game, the eververse and the bungie store. I have al the collector editions, 8-10 shirts and all the moments of triumph shirt customizations. Many other purchases and piles of cosmetics. 2 years ago, I stopped. I know i've paid a ton.. and I just don't want to keep giving bungie money when they continue to treat customers as they have been. Best to vote with your wallet as allways.

How have you spent 2k dollars on comsetics? I paid for celestial warlock armor set only, everything else was from bright dust purchases because if you pay attention, almost every single item is available on reset for bright dust. You are a -blam!- clown for spending that much. I havent even spent 2k on EVE ONLINE, and ive been playing for 13 years. Maybe around 600$ MAX. As game time can be earned in game. This topic needs to be deleted and your toxic mentality needs to be waxxed. Go back to building blanket forts in Fortnite. Or am i missing that games theme with its Playdough graphics LMAO

That is all on you. I'm nowhere near that, even if you include a PS4 and a laptop with two different accounts and I've been playing since D1 The Dark Below released. I agree the game has become very tedious to play. My time playing has been reduced now since I'm off bed rest.
