(Hatchling) perk underperforming

I believe the perk hatchling is far from a desired perk aside from stand builds, even then there are better perks to use other then hatchling as of right now.I think what would make hatching more viable similar to (chill clip), direct hits would “sever” an enemy until death, then would spawn a hatchling. At least with this change, it would proc a few aspects/fragments.

  • After thinking about the perk “hatching” and feedback on my previous forum, the “hatching” perk actually reminds me of “headstone” then “chill clip”. That gave me the idea about what can be the stand version of chill clip. At first I thought we’ll maybe (a perk that procs a sever debuff to an enemy by direct hits), to stun champions like “chill clip”. It would make total sense to be honest. But I also thought of would why shouldn’t bungie think of a different kind of perk specifically for strand using the woven mail buff? Like the (GOTD exotic trace rifle) a new strand perk can be procs while shooting your whole mag at your ally’s giving them an over shield like buff as strong as a rift . Basically a new perk that shoots woven mail at your ally’s. Stasis has headstone for precision kills and chill clip to stun champions. Strand only has hatchling(similar to Headstone) at the moment , so I thought maybe they could either be predictable with a chill clip like strand perk, or make a perk based on the GOTD exotic. when you have no rifts, wells, or healing grenades it would be cool to use your ammo on healing your ally’s while your in gm content. A perk like that provides allies more survivability.

    • hatchling is so good that every weapon I get with it turns into [b]FREE[/b] legendary shards!!!!! that’s op af!!!! infinite legendary shard glitch discovered?!?!

      • Underperforming because it is terrible for endgame content. Just like firefly in it's day. So many players are fixated on those exploding perks because they think it is cool against a group of thralls.

        • I believe hatchlings in general are being buffed. Let's see if that makes the perk a bit better before buffing it, though I'm not opposed to a buff.

        • It usually takes too long for them to find a target rendering useless for hunters and titans.

        • It’s less the blame on the perk and more on the hatchlings themselves. Outside of warlock they are fairly bad and even with warlock they aren’t top tier. But that’s what happens when stasis destroys pvp so bad you have to release your new subclass intentionally bad

At least with this change, it would proc a few aspects/fragments.[/quote] Just making it so every kill spawns a threadling regardless of crit/multi kill would be a good enough buff.
