I think that state of the game was a real wake up call for vets of the game. The only new thing we get now is the refresh of the store lol. I had low expectations but holy cow was that bad

The whole thing has a 'don't piss in my pocket and tell me it's raining' vibe.

1 ReplyI completely agree with not knowing their core audience. For instance, both battleground grandmasters are horrible and I do not know anyone who enjoys them, yet they still want to “monitor feedback” on them adding more. Extremely out of touch.

When it comes to how low the bar can go, don't underestimate Bungie.

4 RepliesI think my expectations were lowered the second day I played D1, when I finished the black garden. Some EXO chick hands me her rifle and says the fight is out there. Yeah baby, now the fun starts, we kicked their butt in our system and now we get to go to their backyard and break their sh*t. Hell yeah, now the real story begins..... uh, no, this was where it ended. It's over? What do you mean it's over? I was shocked. I wandered around for a few days pinching myself thinking what the hell am I missing? Nope, that was it. It was then I realized this game exists in a tiny bubble with a small handful of activities that you do over, and over, and over, and over. I played games for 30 years before that day, and I remember in some games spending more time in some dusty sh*thole village in the -blam!- crack of a large world map than in the entire D1 universe. Its when it dawned on me that if this was where games were heading, the golden age of gaming was indeed dead and its going to be a bumpy ride. I think knowing that early on has kept me from being disappointed. Its really hard to explain what it was like to live through all the eras of gaming, from atari, to nintendo NES, N64, PS1, etc, on up to where we are now. We definitely lost something along the way.

To quote Gordon Ramsay, To Bungie: "I have to say, you surprised me. You surprised me, at how -Blam!-ed you are."

1 ReplyThe best piece of content, Forsaken, was made by Highmoon studios! Too bad xbox didn't buy Bungie. Highmoon could be back on D2.
-
1 ReplyThe bar is on the floor, chief
-
I was Surprised that Bungie had the Balls to finally say it to our faces(We had to read it, but we all know what i mean).
-
7 RepliesBungie is supremely out of touch with the community. Final shape is going to flop
-
2 RepliesI never liked that Blackburn idiot. He’s so out of touch, it’s unreal.
-
4 RepliesAgree. This game was officially abandoned for Marathon today.
-
1 ReplyIt’s not even funny anymore just sad.

1 ReplyI don't know if I should laugh or cry reading your title. I'm impressed that it took a lot of you literally years to see what some of us have known for years, or you just ignored it "hoping things would improve". Gamers today are so damn lost it's disturbing to think what the future of gaming is is going to be like in no time at all.

2 RepliesPlayers: That was never part of this deal, nor was giving Han to this Bounty Hunter. Bungie: I have altered the deal pray I do not alter it further. Players: This deal is getting worse all the time! Bungie: You must now wear this tutu and ride around on this unicycle. Players: What? No, this deal is getting worse all the time. Bungie: I have altered the deal pray I do not alter it further.

The moment you get nostalgia about the Luke Smith days is the moment to reconsider certain things man Don't know what to say🤣
-
I was actually boycotting eververse until it got the refresh it deserves.
-
I can think of one game worse. Destiny is a close second. If sunsetting were still a thing, it would have been.
-
That's a solid double down on their part

1 ReplyEdited by xStopShootinMe: 8/4/2023 1:04:46 AMA few things stood out to me, but to keep this short I would like to point out the statement about ritual playlist armor sets. Yes Bungie said they would put out an armor set, but we did not get one for Lightfall. Then attempted to defend the decision with some malarkey that it has "tipically had very low adoption rate by players." Well it's probably because all the cool armor went into eververse, and the playlists got the dull stuff designed by Tommy the intern

To quote Elihu Smails from Caddy Shack- “You’ll get nothing and like it!”

Edited by Cinderchar: 8/3/2023 7:06:18 PMI think if you are only waking up now as a vet then you've had your head buried in the sand the last year and a half. This is right on par with what I thought we would be getting. Some people continue to convince themselves that Bungie would get low enough to just magically start building amazing stuff again. This time has come and gone and it will never happen again.
-
It would be dishonest of me to say that Bungie has always disappointed me but it has happened too often.

4 Replieswhere is the state of the game?
-
It's the only thing they're good at. It's mind blowing
I think that state of the game was a real wake up call for vets of the game. The only new thing we get now is the refresh of the store lol. I had low expectations but holy cow was that bad
One striking thing about state of the game was rewards Last time we asked for them they upped the difficulty, now they are using the same verbiage relating to loot So bingle you have 2 definitions, seriously talking out of both sides of your mouth SMH bingle. Zero respect, pure fabrications on your part
