Cheater's paradise
Funny how in comp and trials there's always someone with an almost perfect sniper heatshot accuracy. And an optimal TTK with their primary as well. At this point there's no excuse for not having an aggressive anti cheat. Not when you waste this much time into PVP. But just by constantly buffing and nerfing weapons and abilities. As if D2 will suddenly become an e-sport on its last leg.
So instead of PVP being fun and fresh - with new maps, weapons, modes - we get aim assist reductions. Which means nothing to someone with hacks. And ofc the p2p matchmaking which sometimes makes opponents unkillable. Disgraceful development!

Edited by BraddyBo: 8/3/2023 7:27:18 PMThe accuracy stat is the % of final blows being headshot kills. The stat is NOT factor in missed shots, only body shot final blow reduces the %. This is why rapid fire snipers have much highest “accuracy” while aggressives have the lowest. My accuracy stat is ~97% when I use fathers sins or twilight oath at the end of a trials week but it’s ~80% if I use frozen orbit (~40% during pre-nerf empowering rift granting body shot kills below 6 resilience).

In fact, I consider it a good thing. 2) It has been a while since we got new additions to PVP (such as new maps), but we have several new modes (Eruption, Countdown, Rift, Fortress, Domination). 3) I play console, and we don't have issues with hacking or aimbotting. The two biggest cheating issues on console are: 1) 3rd party hardware macros and 2) network manipulation. Bungie has stated they are going to ban players who abuse 3rd party peripherals and use macros to gain advantage, but they haven't given a firm deadline on when these bans will occur. It is very easy to report someone for Lag switching, so I'm less concerned with it.

2 RepliesIn some cases you have people genuinely living a GFuel advertisement and kicking butt in games. This issue with cheaters is undermining the skills people have actually refined in pvp, with them being put in the category of cheaters. There’s blatant aim bot, but it’s also indistinguishable from good aim sometimes. Movement is key to identify it, most cheaters have awful movement when their aim tool is active.
