I have rolled more than 60 hotheads, and not one of them had tracking. It is very obvious that either Bungie intentionally turned off the tracking drop, or the system needs to be fixed because tracking is no longer available for hothead.
PLEASE FIX THIS ISSUE

Why would you want tracking module? For pve you'd want either field prep for the extra ammo and massive reload bonus or auto loading so you can swap to another weapon and shoot then go back to it. For pvp maybe you'd want it? But gl's are arguably better for pvp and tracking module got a massive pvp nerf that caused it to now basically do almost nothing.

2 RepliesLuckily light.gg keeps track of the most commonly rolled Perks found on each weapon in their database by scouting the Destiny API. The entry for Hothead shows that out of 279.6k drops the Tracking Module Perk was present on a mere 3% of all drops: https://www.light.gg/db/items/4255171531/the-hothead/ However there is hope! The entry for Hothead (Adept) shows that out of 181.4k drops the Tracking Module Perk was present on 46.4% of drops: https://www.light.gg/db/items/1866778462/the-hothead-adept/ If you wish to accept the above statistics as evidence that certain Perks have weighted drop chances based on the individual weapon (rather than just statistical variance created by too small of a sample size) then that would suggest you should be aiming to get yourself a Hothead (Adept).
