Stasis Hunter
So legitimately asking, Is it worth trying to perfect this Renewal grasp support build ive been messing with or am i putting work into a dead subclass? I personally have alot of fun playing stasis hunter and think it works well as a support class with the way ive been building things. Im just skeptical about taking it into end game level activities. Im worried that Stasis is going to just be looked over now that bungie has the fun new dark subclass. Even the tiniest bit more synergy would help the subclass so much.

Im more invested in arcstrider with raiden flux. Its great for all GMs. You're making tons of orbs for teammates, can easily kill all champs or lightbearers with little set up and you can zip around insanely fast due to the combination of blink and amplified. Also the super cooldown is insanely low when you combine hands on, dynamo and distribution with combination blow. Most games i create more orbs than that i defeat enemies. For Lightblade its around 150 orbs.

When Lightfall released they increased the cooldown of all abilitys by 20% to address abilitys being overused/spamed Bungie explained, but then proceeded to nerf Duskfield by 45% with [b][i]no explanation.[/i][/b] You are better off playing it with star eaters as a hunter or going warlock with osmiomancy.

Let alone how much headache stasis can cause your fireteam against unstoppables un stunning them all time so you waste ammo If your gonna stick with stasis use the stasis exotic bow or any weapon with headstone and possibly the lament sword to help tank more damage BTW eyasluna hc can roll with demo and headstone

1 ReplyHonestly renewal grasps just don't really have a place with all the nerfs they got. If they would atleast buff their recharge rate, it would help out a lot. I suppose you could do a cqb sword/glave build with them since it decreases enemy damage while giving you damage reduction, unfortunately this is only good for larger single targets that don't move to much. As for stasis hunter, your better off either doing a shatterdive build or a withering blade build using stompies. Personally I like withering blades with stompies, it's a fun run and gun build.

2 RepliesRevenant Hunter is the most underrated kit in the game. I got a 70 DS about a month ago, haven't come off Revenant since... there was a buff to shurikens a bit ago... It's kinda crazy & it scales. To accentuate this point, the 3 subclasses I love playing the most right now is Leap Titan, Thor's Orbs on Warlock, and Revenant Hunter. I shelved AC/DC for my DS kit. I can't get enough. If you can fit triple heavy handed... you'll get a super in PvE in less than 2 mins... & often way faster. And there's a particular DPS combo with the super that does insane dmg & will stun lock Bosses. I'm keeping it under wraps for now. I am main'ing Stasis on my Hunter right NOW, and Stasis is being slept on hard. That's why it got adjusted, Rime was broken... (you could be invincible) and nxt season will probably Stasis focused per the Artifact. So.. any kit you like to play for Ice Ninja will be able to compete NOW with top PvE kits, and next season it will be even better.

So while it is will work and will work well, there are other things that require less setup and are easier to use than it that will provide you with a greater benefit.

The nerfs bungie implemented on renewal grasps really hurt the build but it is viable. To me, you have to think proactively with your duskfield grenade to get the most out of said build. Ie you are throwing your duskfield onto champions for their damage reduction. The defensive approach just seems negated most of the time in end game content. Titans or warlocks have the best build scenarios for team support and fun gameplay. With my build, I used the lament exotic sword for health regeneration combined with the damage reduction. A chill clip fusion in my primary slot and a bow or scout in my secondary.
