I used to love towards the end of the season/expansion when you were overpowered and could plow though enemies. Now it's just boring. Go fishing .....Really ?

It's one of the reasons I got bored. I started diablo 4 when it came out and its hella fun. You level up, make builds and anything you do with your build you will notice the difference. Destiny is just one big stale 💩show. I was taking a break, but I don't miss it and probably not coming back at all, cause we all know bungo don't care about us and that they are not capable of fixing issues. Game seems to be getting worse and worse. So bungo can shove it somewhere deep where the sun doesn't shine.

Agree 100%. Why have power at all if it’s throttled in every meaningful encounter. I actually miss the pinnacle grind. No other reason to play a lot of activities
-
1 ReplyPower caps undermine the power grind all together, why level up if I'm not getting stronger In Warframe you feel like a god in mid-low level content, poor ads trying to kill me, how cute We need that feeling of going back and owning that boss or powerful enemy that made your life hell, and stomping them into the ground, line when you overleveled Randal Make Power Level Matter Again
-
5 RepliesPower caps do not make the game more fun or more engaging. They just make it more frustrating to play. Being locked to the lower power level for and activity is punishing players for working hard to earn the gear that they do have. Power caps do not respect the investment players put into the game, essentially saying you do not need to earn gear above this power level. Bungie is going to make you feel weaker and like you wasted your time casing all those pinnacles just to get nerfed for this activity. Fun and engaging make for better games. Punishing players for working to get more powerful by using power caps is the exact opposite, makes for boring, tedious game play.

9 RepliesEverybody complaining about this ..... just get better. Endgame should not be a walk through the park like many seasons ago, and yet still it kinda easy now with a decent loadout. So just stop complaining, practise, make a good build, and you'll be just fine.
-
1 ReplyI agree some of us have jobs that don't let us have the kind of time to grind power caps and hit max light. This season of the deep isn't very good and super boring
-
1 ReplyEarlier people used to cry about "meaningless grinding" due to each season's cap increase. There's always something to whine about.
-
1 ReplyNo grind + level cap (higher difficulty) OR Grind + no level cap (easier difficulty) The latter is probably better for the success of the game and is what I prefer but only bungie knows forsure.
-
2 RepliesI used to actually be able to enjoy the reward of my grinding for a week or two before the next Power level bump, but then Bungie made it more and more grindy to the point where I just couldn't keep up. That's when I realised that they weren't developing a game for average players anymore, so I bowed out. I used to have hope that they would come back around, remember why they decided to make this game in the first place, but with Marathon on the horizon, that hope has faded. Now I just manage my Island Sanctuary on FFXIV in my spare time...

Bungie: Understood, adding Master and Grandmaster difficulty fishing.

Edited by draycole: 7/30/2023 7:35:31 PMOP can you elaborate on this? Because it's not very clear. I think the comments support how unclear your post is. As there's like 3 or 4 different meanings people are coming up with
-
2 RepliesI like being able to try the more difficult content early on in the season, rather than the last few weeks. Entirely selfish opinion on my part due to how often I get a chance to play. I can see how everyday players are unhappy with this setup.
-
To me, personally there is no incentive to grind levels anymore because past a certain point, they are useless. In a perfect world, what could be a strategic move to secure active player engagement is remove the limitations and handicap of players in certain activities / destinations and enable a world Tier select system from the destination tab. Let the power you grind for actually mean something. Normal (lowest light level available), Heroic (up to seasonal Powerful cap), Legend (up to Pinnacle cap), Master (Scales to players max light) For each destination. The rewards you get from said destinations will then be on par with the difficulty, as well as the selected world or destination bounties will grant XP related to the difficulty. There will still be an active RNG element but the more activities you complete the higher your chances become of getting various loot, including exotic weapons that you do not have, as this counts towards the guardian ranks, if a player is interested in them. Weapon levelling could also scale in percentile. If you are at a higher tier level destination you selected, weapon kills accrue at a higher rate same with activities on these destinations. This will motivate players to grind if they want to at the difficulty the want to, as well as be a feed for better resources, materials etc that most new players have a very limited amount of, and have your power level mean something.

7 RepliesPeople demanded this for over a year.. its always been destiny's problems.. the community flip flops on everything.. lol
-
Yeah it really seems the vocal portion of the community would rather just tear through wet paper bags. Sad, really.
-
Fishing needs to be expanded upon… shouldn’t be an avenue for more loot that WILL get dismantled.
-
Harder content always locked you out and to bypass the difficulty you needed to really bring and that was for master raids only Difficulty hasn't really increased much 1 patrol location and they removed the NF that was easier than strike playlist You being higher level didn't impact stuff that much in most area of what peoples complaining anyway .... also really ? Why even mention fishing ? This has nothing to do with what you talking about and just diminished everything you said

7 RepliesEdited by Kiro - 13: 7/30/2023 1:29:08 AMWeird take, considering every casual and weekend warrior wanted this change. But hey go for it & while you are at it revert crucible to cbmm, make light level matter in IB again, revert Neomuna world enemy difficulty, & have EV fund exotic secret missions like whisper or zero hour. I miss the days when this game did not cater to casuals. By all means give them a good experience but dont ruin the end game because "mr.father of 12 children that works 300hour weeks" complained he cant do end game activitys or kept getting wreck'd in PvP.
-
Edited by FataLVisioN_Oo: 7/30/2023 9:57:41 PMYou could always plow through enemies seeing content scales 🙄 I personally enjoy not having to level. Means I can play what I want.. which during seasons is next to nothing 🤣 They ruined PvP, GM/raids/dungeons are to easy.. not much to do besides check in once a week until the story is over... and I'm cool with that. Means I can touch more grass
-
I would definitely return the 50 power cap increase each season and make a max power bonus of 15 from an artifact, we don’t need or deserve anything more. It made the game have more meat to the bone when we had to level up gear more. That’s greater content than seasonal activities will be in this game
-
op you need to change the title to "difficulty change ruined it for most players" This is Bungie forum, people comment to your title not the post, more than half saw the title and already decided this post is hating on the lack of seasonal power increase
-
1 Reply
I used to love towards the end of the season/expansion when you were overpowered and could plow though enemies. Now it's just boring. Go fishing .....Really ?
What I meant was grinding all season so a 3pk with mics can get a weapon with +10 stability does nothing for me.
-
2 RepliesThough the goal post moving every 3 months got a bit tiresome. It felt like you were spending more time chasing being able to do what you had already done than being able to enjoy what you accomplished in leveling up.
-
Every successful game ever - the more you play, the more powerful you become. Lvl scaling and caps are ZERO fun. Reaching lvl 400 on a season pass or lvl 40 - no difference. Bad design. People that play the most need to be the most powerful. Pve, of course.
-
Since the beginning of destiny, there has been a power cap. No matter how much your light was over 10 above the activity it had no effect. Grandmasters are not for all players. Neither are solo dungeons. All other activities are completely accessible in PVE.
-
Most players wanted the cap gone so they removed it. They replaced it with easy exotics and people cry. They will never please everyone.
