We have a community sentiment towards the game thats comparable to that back in curse of osiris.
But just because player numbers are still decent since the game grew A LOT since then, Bungie simply doesn't care at all about our opinions it seems.
Everyones feedback is negative towards the game atm. Steam reviews, social media, obviously the abandoned forums, content creators, overall interest in D2. Twitch directory is a wasteland, youtube clicks are extremely low and noone feels motivated to play and some just keep playing out of habit or addiction.
Bungie is literally ruining their rep entirely by not responding at all, by abandoning their only current live game, by being dead silent. My friends all dislike destiny and Bungie and say they will never play a Bungie game again. When you see an actual big streamer such as Lirik or shroud or even gaming event channels hear about a destiny reveal, all you see is LUL Destiny and LUL Bungie. Noone respects your franchise or you as a company. Your rep is beyond unfixable at this point.
And you are fine with that public view? Good luck with Matter and Marathon because you will need it. The TWABS (i refuse to call them twids or whatever) seem like delusional "covering my eyes and ears" updates about stuff noone cares about. Completely useless and they never reflect any hot topics. Just some delusional detached useless info and "see you next week". Like yea keep ignoring your feeding hand, good luck with that.
You can't just rely on the next big DLC a year later to carry your rep. Players are leaving NOW because the game is bad NOW. And most of them don't look back. Live service needs dedication and constant work. Your minimal effort strategie is turning 364 days of the year into far below mediocre destiny content and 1 decent day. The day a new DLC launches.

It's because their employees are being bullied for making trash.

I’m pretty sure they pay close attention to player engagement. The community often wants conflicting things and online comments include a lot of venting and trolling.

1 ReplyEdited by Spawn Of Apathy: 7/29/2023 5:11:27 PMI’m sure it is quite easy to ignore the majority of feedback by the player base. It’s a passive process. It’s not like everyone is standing outside of the Bungie offices and they have to “actively” drown us out, avoid eye contact or reading signs. They just don’t look at Destiny Twitter, reddit, YouTube, twitch, or these forums. Now if they’re only skimming Destiny social media and filtering out all the negative comments to find positive comments to reinforce their own confirmation bias about the direction or reception of the game. Then THAT would be actively ignoring as opposed to just passively ignoring. But then they’d only be actively ignoring feedback they don’t want while actively paying attention to feedback they do. And so not ignoring all players.

2 RepliesI have disliked the overall tone of the TWABS for a while. They seem like a weekly ‘cheerleading’ session. The “amirite” and “Cathedral of dust, more like Cathedral of MUST” is so incredibly lame.

2 RepliesGame is a joke. The company is also now a joke. I can’t believe these guys came from Halo to this mess. D2 is their mess, even Sony won’t touch it. I left years ago before Sony acquired their butts. It’s obvious these guys can’t do squat anymore. I can’t believe a company could be so successful with Halo and then completely tank and fail with this mess. What a failure! I will never buy anything from these guys whatever they come up with. An absolute mess! Absolutely nothing here but a shamble mess of shallowness!🤣

1 ReplyIf you seriously wish for Bungie &/or Destiny to change - you need to stop playing & purchasing D2. The only time this community has ever influenced Bungie to revert bad decisions they were stubbornly refusing to change was during Y1 of D2 in CoO. It took Destiny's sales & player population to drop bad enough that Bungie almost had to close up shop. This also got Bungie to produce Forsaken & the content that came in Y2's annual pass. Which IMO is some of the best content we've got for this franchise. Gaming corporations only listen to one kind of feedback = Money & player engagement.

Every week you make a new wall of text that doesn't mean much Seriously if a game get to you this bad maybe its time to move on At least take a break and when you comeback see if you still feel this way Also we seriously need to stop using their next titles as weird leverage ....its just not how the industry works ....and as someone that still enjoy destiny(even if I been barely playing this last month )I have no interest in marathon ....and im sure some peoples that never played D2 will get marathon ..... Talking about marathon on how it will fail because of how destiny is ....is just not a good take and make your whole arguments weaker

22 RepliesAnd I am actively ignoring this company.

24 RepliesEdited by The Hermit IX: 7/30/2023 5:40:21 PMDon’t say we. I don’t agree with what you’re saying and I’m not alone. Players like you are always unhappy, bashing the game and claiming you’re leaving. Yet you’re still here. Maybe that’s why they ignore and stopped engaging with the loud minority. Put your energy into something positive instead of the negative attention grab posts you put up regularly. It’s a game not a life choice.

They can if they want to

2 RepliesStop playing the game. I did. It feels great! All that’s left is all the characters turning gay. And Bungie wants more of your money. F naw!
-
1 ReplyIf you want a response, just say something negative about a certain *weird group* and they will respond quickly 😂. But no, they will say nothing about their game.
-
1 ReplyYour mistake in all this is actually believing this is Bungie 🤷♂️

Vast majority of players don’t care. That’s why the numbers stay decent. Gamers lost the war. Companies know they only have to cater to casuals because casuals spend all the money while never really complaining about anything.
-
I mean, they rely on YouTube and a random British guy they don't even pay to keep players familiar with what's going on in the lore. I think that should tell you all you need to know about how they feel about the players.

2 RepliesI'd ignore us too. We're toxic af.

Going off your title, Did you think leaving this forum to the volunteers 9+ months ago wasn't a clue?
