The opposite of love is indifference
As a mainly PVP player I used to get really frustrated with the lack of attention or content to the mode. I tried switching to play more PVE and I enjoyed that for a little bit. Then Lightfall released. I pre ordered the deluxe annual pass. But the story was such a let down that it overshadowed everything good about the release.
I feel so scammed by this DLC (and I have bought the annual pass every year since forsaken) That I don't even know If I will buy the final shape. I'm sure bungie will release the vidoc in a few weeks hyping up the final shape, but the monetization and price points have gotten out of control.
I used to raid and drop into dungeons every weekend with my clanmates and get every seasonal title but this year has been a major let down. Haven't gotten any seasonal titles, have 1 completion of the new dungeon and one completion of the most recent raid.
I've started playing Warzone and that has definitely scratched my PVP itch and I have almost stopped caring about destiny altogether. I might login once or twice a week for the weekly quest. Its funny but Warzone is also hyper monetized but I would argue that even they have a better system. I didn't buy the top tier "black cell" expensive battle pass with them just the regular $10 and i feel the cosmetics and in-game currency in that system out shines anything in eververse. Yeah Destiny has bright dust but it is very restrictive. The eververse engrams are a joke and never reward anything of value.
Its pretty crazy to think when Bungie split with Activision and we all celebrated it as some great achievement, just to have players go back to Activision (Through WZ or D4) because Bungie either cant figure it out or takes things way too far with their corporate monetization greed.
Anyway this is my last attempt at yelling into the void. Bungie already publicly stated that they will no longer "over deliver" on releases meanwhile the price for said releases continue to rise. I may buy the dlc without the annual pass or I might just watch some Byf videos to see how this story ends.

You guys chill the title of the post is a quote from Elie Wiesel. It’s meant to portray the problem if you have people who hate the game right now it means they’re still passionate about it. It’s worse to have people indifferent about the game like myself and many others because we have lost the spark of passion to care about it at all which is largely due to Lightfall.

Nope hate is the word you’re looking for. If there’s indifference neither love or hate are in the picture. When a person is indifferent, they don’t waste energy on the subject they feel that way about.
