I get that there are far better scouts to use especially the ones from the raids. But as a world drop there aren't too many good world drops, aside from funnelweb. I've had this scout rifle drop and there's so many good perks to use, almost every perk is great. Reminds me of those suros scouts you used to get in D1 armsday packages. I have a triple tap explosive payload on mine, it feels beautiful. Sounds great, looks great. It feels great to use. It's got massive range, it has the suros synergy perk, and it hits HARD in both PVE and PVP.
I currently have over 1000 kills with it and mines not even a god roll. Look I know how toxic this community is, if I haven't done a kings fall and got a fully crafted doom of chelsis blah blah blah....
But there's not too many solar scout rifles, especially legendaries. I use it with my gunpowder gamble young amkaras spine build and it goes hard with it. I can imagine it's good for the end game too.
....... I'm guessing most people have dismantled it though, clear farming kings fall I guess ..

What you meant to say is that it's terrible and that you hate it. Otherwise Bungle might think it was actually a good weapon and nerf the crap out of it. Hear that Bungle, totally sucks.
-
It is a very good scout. I prefer my crafted Trustee but the Staccato-46 is a fantastic world drop with great perks.
-
I like the weapon but it's so hard to waste the energy slot on a scout, especially when I can run an adept HJ with kinetic tremors in the kinetic slot.

1 ReplyIt’s a great scout. Mine has outlaw and incandescent. 🔥
-
My incandescent / outlaw roll has seen the inside of many a legendary lost sector. ;)
-
I love my triple tap + incandescent Staccato 🔥

2 RepliesEdited by BraddyBo: 7/28/2023 9:57:36 AMI have the god roll and it’s awesome although it doesn’t have much competition. Trustee is a rapid fire and vision of confluence doesn’t roll with incandescent.

It's the old SUROS DIS-43 we had in D1. It's always been my favorite in both D1 and D2. All these years. The beauty of this gun is that almost nobody talks about it, so they leave it alone and it doesn't get nerfed. Until now, that is. Let's hope Bungie doesn't read your post and decides that it's time to look into it.
-
Sigh it's people like you who makes nice things taken away 🤦♂️
-
Shhhhh! Bungie might nerf...

5 Replies🤡 Quasi-irrelevant Fun fact: Tears of Contrition w/ triple tap and 4th horseman gives you around 60 shots per clip.
-
I like full auto on it. I agree, it's a lot like the suros 47 from the armsday packages.
-
Enjoy it while it lasts

1 ReplyOh yeah when that came out I would use it for GMs. I first got a roll with Adaptive Munitions back when we had match game and another roll with I think Explosive Payload and shoot to Loot. Awesome scout, but ever since I got my timelost vision of Confluence I kinda forgot about it. Only because I really like the feel of vision.

Dude, Staccato is the best solar scout. Many streamers use it when they need a solar scout. It has great feel to it, very stable. Comes with incandescent, explosive, shoot to loot, outlaw, you can’t go wrong with this scout. Why in the world you assume we are all toxic, I have no clue. I don’t raid, but I do solo some GMs and dungeons, there are plenty of weapons I wish I had, but I make due just fine, so can you.

I have one with triple tap and incandescent on my other account. Love it. If you think that's good, try out the Coronach auto rifle. It's a 600rpm auto that can roll with incandescent as well. Gunsmith actually sold the one I have back at the beginning of the season. Great auto rifle.
-
Yes, Staccato is great. I use it very often as well.

I have Triple Tap/Incandescent and Triple Tap/Explosive Payload on the two Staccato’s I have. I absolutely love the former, especially with Solar builds. It took me close to a year to actually have the Triple Tap/Incandescent roll I wanted drop, it was brutal lol. I have a few great rolls on the Timelost Vision of Confluence but in all honesty Triple Tap/Incandescent just feels too damn good as a perk combo on Staccato. I also have fully crafted and Harrowed versions of Doom of Chelchis which I also love but it has its own place since it’s Void. Some world drops are actually really good and Staccato and Funnelweb are two prime examples of that.

This is my solar scout rifle. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

4 RepliesWith incandescent it’s bomb. The strand one Glissando is 🤌 as well

Glad you like it. I enjoy it pretty well too even if I don’t use it too much. Great gun with great rolls. It just ends up being if I need a solar scout that I tend to default to my Trustee. Great perks and origin trait and the gun feels great to use. Vision of Confluence is pretty solid too with something like wellspring + Firefly. Hung Jury and the aforementioned Doom of Chelchis are also top contenders and are hard to overlook. Either way there’s not much difference between well-rolled versions of these guns and it usually comes down to personal preference. Glad you found the one you like!

I like my firefly Royal Chase
-
Agreed- feels like my old D1suros scouts that I loved. Got one with explosive payload and shoot to loot which is a nice utility roll for playing it safe in tougher content. Also...if you have shoot to loot on, and have full ammo of the type you shoot, then it basically becomes a way to insta-reload your other weapons as many times as you want. Kind of niche, but also pretty fun once you get the hang of it

You might like this old dude video on this weapon: https://youtu.be/Ae1j8Jrk-WE

I’d be better off throwing the gun at opponents without dedicated servers. It’s a mess.

It's one of the best scouts. Incandescent, Explosive Payload, what's not to love?
