Game chat not working?
I logged in today to find that I could not communicate with my friends. I've verified that my microphone in-fact works. Did my account get restricted for some reason? I didn't receive a message if it did.

On PC, goto lower right corner of system tray(or just go straight to settings, sound) Open sound settings Try turning off all devices that can use sound but you don't need for Destiny

4 RepliesWhat happened with game chat is that buggie was and is listening in and got caught 😳 Violating and breaking so many rules/laws and people constitutional rights now they're trying to get out of a big lawsuit SMH!

1 ReplyI am on steam. It was fine yesterday. But right now, the mic symbol isn't showing next to my Gamertag when I am in orbit. Hopefully, it will get fixed soon.

Not the only thing thats not working, every mod that matters are still disabled in the arm slot rendering nearly all builds useless. 1 ReplyXbox Series X here. Logged on to see that the game would not detect my mic at all, despite the console itself detecting it and letting me speak in parties.

On PC and connot hear nor talk to anyone though I can still talk on discord so I know its not the mic

1 ReplyGame chat is broken sometimes you or the other members of your team can't hear each other. Only fix I've had work is to close and restart destiny.

Same issue over here on Xbox series x. My mic will NOT show up next to my character. Works in other games and in an xbox party.

On Xbox One, also getting the same issue with in-game voice chat seemingly not detecting headset mic, confirmed its not my headset as it works fine in discord, Xbox party chat, and other games. Hopefully this gets solved in tomorrows update.

I have a group on Xbox, steam, and ps and nobody can hear or speak to anyone. I think bungie has mucked up the in game chat somehow
