They reversed some horrible changes, Bungie is too stuck on making everything boring, big W for D4 and big L for Bungie.

2 RepliesDE Within 10 minutes of an issue they were working with the community to diagnose the problem That’s a responsive dev

3 RepliesOne: Diablo 4 is a much simpler game. So naturally changes can be made faster. Two: Blizzard has been making games like this for almost 30 years. They learn from their mistakes, and generally don’t repeat them. Three: Bungie tends to see their game as it is an arena to express the creativity of the devs. Rather than a commercial product and a game that has certain rules and expectations. So Bungie has the really bad habit of repeating the same REALLY BIG mistakes every 3-5 years. Which means they keep doing the same things that the community has made it ABUNDANTLY clear that we don’t like or want…yet expecting to get a different result each time they do it. (I KNOW WE’LL GET IT TIGHT THIS TIME….)

, Bungie is too stuck on making everything boring
This is a fact, and it's because they are boring. Boring business=boring product. Destiny has barely evolved in almost a decade. That's pretty damn bad and this business thinks hiding is going to make their problems go away and that's just stupid. Since LF was released issue after issue has been literally popping up (((every single day))) making matters worse. Look at what happened to No Man's Sky. It was a disaster that Sony refund the players. Got a question, did Hello Games give up and hide like a child and use BS excuses as this business has been doing for years to ignore the players? Hell no! They showed they were adults and took responsible for their actions and put a hell of a lot of effort into the game to at least try to fix their issues to get the game moving forward and they did. What has this business been doing other than hiding like a child? I don't care what you fans say, this business has had a freaking decade with 4 of the top publishers in gaming with 2 working with them this very day with all the resources they would ever need and money from you guys over the years to fund this game. But, this is all they have to offer to show their "appreciation" to you for supporting them all these years. Awesome! Oh, and don't forget to make sure you visit the shop to see the new ornaments you can buy and don't forget to pre-order Marathon 👍

Comparing the turd (Bungie), to a slight flatulence (Diablo IV). One of these games is so beyond bipolar it can't be classified into one game category, meanwhile the other is a functional RPG...
Also the transmog system in D4 is so much better, imagine breaking down old gear in D2 for a transmog instead of a grindy bounty for a stupid monetized material connected to a quest requiring DLC, or the easier BUNGO MICROTRANSACTION VOMIT!!!!
4 RepliesHow'd all this salt get here? This is definitely a Destiny-related topic.
-
8 RepliesThe one question I have about Diablo IV though is, Why did they even make such horrible changes if they were just going to "buff" a bunch of things they nerfed too hard? Do these devs never learn to nerf in small increments? The vulnerability nerf was like 40%, and the game already sucked if you didn't use it, so what did they think was going to happen? Honestly, I'm tired of both games. Tried D2 after a few months of inactivity, already uninstalled it again, and Diablo IV went with it after 7 levels in the new season. Live service gaming sucks.

Bungie has always claimed that they are "listening" WAY too oppressive. They might have "listened" at some point in the past, yes but they never gave a ### about what they heard. They have always straight lined their ideas without ANY compromise. The only voices they actually did listen to were those of 24/7 playing streamers who make a living playing the game. The entirely wrong audience to cater your game to since they have financial interest in never ending grinds. But hey, companies that constantly feel the need to spread a certain public view of them are mostly lying and Bungie is no exception. They are stubborn, do what THEY want, no matter how unplayable and unfun the game is for the vast majority of players. Exactly thought the same when i listened to the D4 devs. They didnt just ignore complaints and instead told us about upcoming microtransactions or store sales. They didnt just say we are wrong and they are right. They didnt just tell us to wait for 3 months (next season) for a "fix". They straight up ackknowledged that they were in the wrong and they are working on fixes. Thats how proper devs act. I wish D2 was developed by that kind of devs...

They also understand their game and are competent.
-
Bungie views any form of criticism as a death threat.

Edited by The Hermit IX: 7/23/2023 9:05:59 PMLol it’s funny. They’re learning how to deal with toxic reactions. See how different they deal with things in 4 years. The honeymoon is over haha. Players are having total meltdowns. Still a great game but clearly is having issues like every game.

2 RepliesBeing fair there were times when they actually were fairly responsive. The reason they stopped is they don't want some deranged fan to go hunting down their children. Also, Diablo 4 has something that Destiny doesn't. A community that is mostly united in what they are unhappy about. Destiny has PVP, uber try hards, career streamers, so called "Casuals" raiders, etc, and you'll find pretty consistently that no two of these groups will agree on anything. It is easier to fix a problem when everyone is united behind saying it is a problem.
-
2 RepliesWell I doubt they are getting death threats.

They haven't had death threats against there CMs and Lead Devs yet , but that's because Diablo players are not obsessive and toxic, they either play Diablo or don't And Diablo 4 is just the campaign, what happens after is just boring, tedios and repetitive , kill the same mobs to inflate a meaningless number , atleast D2 has addictive gun and ability play Oh , and season of malignant , the same mobs, with a slightly different skin, like icy Hive and purple and red Cabal anyone ? I am bored with both games , got back into GTA 5, a game that is has popular today, 10 years later, has it was when it was released , Rockstar puts both Blizzard and Bungie to shame , they overdeliver ×1000 -
1 ReplyEdited by rZI3: 7/23/2023 7:14:55 PMI think had destiny 2 just been released then maybe they’d be a lot more responsive to feedback as they were in the early days, but I can agree on it a little as they have lost there way with general feedback over the years, so I wouldn’t say it’s a fair comparison entirely, but as Diablo 4 is still fairly fresh having only just been released I think they be stupid not to listen and respond to players feedback. Bungie seem more concerned about these charities and milestones on “giving x amount” for in game cosmetic’s, least that’s what I see more of as of recent

They reversed some horrible changes, Bungie is too stuck on making everything boring, big W for D4 and big L for Bungie.
We shall have to wait and see if this lasts for 8 years.
-
1 ReplyThey didn't revert the vulnerable nerf to my knowledge
-
Great, I’ll criticise them instead🤷🏻
-
D4 is fairly new so they want to keep the momentum going. D2 is floating along with minimal support .
-
Tbf they kinda had to the game was dropping players extremely fast. Bungie lost maybe 10% of their players within this last year but have probably gotten even more money than the previous years. Diablo 4 is also meant to be the big game for Activision for the next few years they can't risk it dying.
-
2 RepliesThe one change I hate overall is the ability to refund one perk at a time. Now it's refund all. It's silly.
-
7 RepliesEdited by Killa Karizma: 7/23/2023 4:53:57 PMDiablo 4 devs and it's community barely started their honeymoon phase. Everyone knows this phase is all lovey dovey, we're happy and listening, and will do whatever you want right away vibes. Destiny devs and it's community have been together almost a decade. Given the modern US standard for a marriage length is 8 years according to google...I'd say we're either doing okay or way past our due date for a divorce. So, let's all take a step back and chill tf out. OR, just go play Diablo lol.
-
2 RepliesIt won't last though.. bungie used to respond pretty quickly, but since the harassment got out of hand they've vanished. I can't blame them.. there are too many idiots on here willing to spout death threats over a nerf. Plus, diablo will just be ruined in the same way destiny has been by the Devs trying to keep up with spoilt consumers.. feedback used to be limited to bugs. Nowadays it's some idiot spitting their dummy out because they got killed by something difficult.. or because a rare item rarely drops.
-
7 RepliesYet you're here
-
One is a new game and they have to care to retain players lol Bungie is 100% with players dropping as long as they don’t have to put in more work
