This makes some good points about how bad Eververse has become.

Damn there's a boycott? damn and I finished it this morning
-
Going blackout, no solstice and I'm glad I did..😌
-
10 RepliesSolstice can be played without buying anything from Eververse. I should know, I've done it before.
-
Never going to get a boycott rolling on a game with like a million players of which I would argue at least 70 or 80% of are completely oblivious to the issues presented by eververse and the current monetization model
-
Thanks for the sleep supplement.

2 RepliesBungie’s monetization gets worse and worse. There’s no motivation to make it the great game it has the potential to be, just good enough (sometimes falling down on even that.) Why bother making more quality content when you can make hundreds of skins for the cash shop? I haven’t played D2 in months. I might get back to it someday, or not. I’ve never spent real money on cosmetics nor will I. I would play the event and that’s it. So in a way I’ve always been boycotting Eververse. Maybe boycotting the event will send a message, I don’t know. All I know is that they get really boring really fast.

1 ReplyI remember when Eververse was implemented with the claim of it funding events like Solstice. Now those events are filled with Eververse items with little to nothing to do.

Boycott eververse? Yeah nah. It's cosmetics not child support.

Edited by TheShadow: 7/18/2023 1:12:50 PM
This makes some good points about how bad Eververse has become.
What are you talking about knowing the Loot boxes back in D1 were by design, designed to rip people off? When it comes to the shop in this game, it has caused a hell of a lot more issues for the game than anything else. If this was an actual F2p game and this business was using it to fund this game instead of their other projects they are working on, then the fans and this business could somewhat justify their actions. But guess what, they aren't using it as its intended purpose. What a shocker... D2 base game was literally built around the shop strapping everything to the barebone of what D1 offered, yet it was a full-priced game at that time and you fans defended it as a lot of you still do now. This business has gotten so damn cheap when comes to designing decent loot to add to the game that they gave some BS story to remove Factions that used to give 9 sets of gear and some weapons just by simply playing the game. They removed them because they couldn't make a profit off of them and they also waited 3 years after removing them to give a statement that they weren't coming back. You know, because Ignoring your player base is called "communication". Just like they have been communicating since LF was released, just posting fluff TWABs, hoping this mess will blow over soon. So while all that was going on the shop was going full steam ahead, and what did they give you guys in return for removing Factions? Oh yeah, Luck Smith's oh-so-special rigged Guardian Games. WoW! What an awesome deal 👍

2 RepliesEdited by Mara Sov’s Step Bro: 7/18/2023 2:29:12 AMNone of this will happen. As outrageous as it is, it only is what it is because people do and (will) pay for it. Boycotts ALWAYS fail. You want change? Get the govt involved.

Listen to the child support man!
-
1 ReplyOh god don't post his video without fair warning I didn't click on that link just to see lucky10p's stupid fuking face ambushing me with yet more stupid unoriginal opinions from random redditor
-
3 RepliesI wish players would boycott streamers
-
I do not like lucky whatsoever, but yes, speaking with your wallets is what makes a difference. With that being said, if you were to somehow get everyone here on board, as well as over on reddit, we'd all still make up <10% of the active player base.
-
No Streamer makes good points, they make revenue based on you watching. I liked them more when they explained mechanics and builds, now they are all politicians because the game is declining and therefore their revenue is shrinking which is why they are trying new ways to get you hooked. Don't like Eververse.... Don't use it. It's an optional feature Nobody has forced anyone to spend their bright dust on rowing emotes and other useless stuff since the last event. Everyone could have easily collected 18k Bright Dust since the last time people asked to boycott the event last year.

I will personally be logging in after a months hiatus just to buy the armor set bc I'd rather pay not to play the game and that money is irrelevant to me. Sorry, but no, I will not be partaking in your boycott.

5 RepliesEdited by High Noon at Jötunn Saloon: 7/17/2023 8:43:32 PMCan't believe this dude is still around after what happened during his split.

-
No think for yourself for once buying something in your honor now good job 👍
-
I don't care about the store items and never paid for anything Why do peoples care so much about what others pay for when its purely cosmetics?
-
I agree. It's a shame there aren't a lot of people who share the same sentiment though.
-
1 ReplyI won’t be buying silver until things change
-
I’m gonna play 200 hours during the event 😎
-
Click bait links don't work here, pal.
