16 platinum legend lost sector runs, 1 exotic.
I did today’s legend lost sector 16 times solo on my warlock to get the Rain of Fire boots, which I have not previously unlocked. My runs usually lasted about 4 minutes each and I went platinum every time. I only got one exotic, the boots of the assembler with a capitol S -blam!- roll. What in the living fart is this drop rate??
I haven’t farmed lost sectors in months, the drop rate used to be acceptable, about 1/3 runs gave an exotic. I farmed yesterday to get the cenotaph mask and got 2 exotics, including cenotaph, in 10 runs.

always master runs, normal two or three and the exotic drops, if not just one more on legend - worked always for me

That’s really terrible! Just wasting your time doing the same thing over and over …..there need to be a way when you complete one LS it goes towards a percentage increase of getting a exotic! I just don’t do any activities based on the awful rng ….I just can’t bring my self to do it .

Something is definitely off. I had done this crap for my hunter, got every piece which usually happened within 3 runs, and sometimes back to back. A few weeks ago I realized I was missing a helmet, so I ran a lost sector on the moon countless times to get the one missing helmet, and got squat, and I still don't have it. I was told by some players to pretty much stay away from the moon when it comes to legendary lost sectors because it's trash. Last week I pulled the warlock out of mothballs ( he still had umbral engrams on him, lol). I got him up to 1820 and figured ok, lets get some runs in and get him some armor. Did the cosmodrome lost sector yesterday a bunch of times, nadda. Yeah, not doing this crap anymore.

I've been doing a lot of legend lost sectors just to burn some time and get enh mats. I normally go in there not expecting an exotic and am usually surprised when I do get one as I am mostly wanting the mats to MW my gear that I already have. However these past few days that I actually got on and did some back to back to back(to back) I can safely say something is up. Never have I gone days of doing legend lost sectors and never gotten one exotic. Again, something might be up.

I do 6 runs and if no exotics, ditch it and come back later. I've done this and then picked up 5 or 6 in a dozen runs, regularly...

It normally takes me about 18 runs to get new exotics unlocked. Of course, I've quit running them but I don't find doing the same thing over and over fun. I figure someday they'll add a new way to unlock exotics.

6 RepliesSo let me get this straight. Yesterday you got what you wanted fairly easily and today you didn't so now you're complaining about it. You do know what RnG means, right? You do know that it's not a Guarantee, 100%, sure thing to get an exotic, right? I don't understand these posts, are people actually that oblivious to the way the game is? Are people that ignorant to think posting on these forums will change any damn thing? Do yourself a favour and STOP CARING.

i didn't expect to see this complaint as much now that exotics are in the core playlist activities, but whatever.

Play the game less. And let the timer run out sometimes in your legend lost sector runs. Here's my key to continually awesome drop rates in this game: I take 6-12 month breaks from playing this game, and I play the game like an amatuer (I literally get carried most of the time). So my advice is: take long breaks from the game. And when you do the legend lost sectors, make each run last 12-16 minutes. Good luck.

I think bungie messed with the drop rates when LF launched, I only play on master now because the drop rate on legend feels way too low.
