Bungie this is ridiculous. Just show the actual number of kills we get in pvp. I don’t care about assists, I don’t care about objective’s score. This IB score thing is ridiculous. I rather know how many kills I am getting. Not how many zones I sat in.
Show the KD, not the score, not the KDA, not how many zones or balls we capture/throw, the Kills and the Kill to Death Percentage.
((There was once a rumor that the old K/D Score column was removed because of “toxicity” or “Everyone deserves a trophy”) This is pvp, actually show stats that matter to pvp. Show us our kills (not kills and assists mix into one column))

This is pvp, actually show stats that matter to pvp. Show us our kills
Kills DON'T matter this Iron Banner Stats shown DO matter... if fact, getting zone control is the ONLY thing that matters this IB.

3 Replieshttps://trials.report/report/1/4611686018436342035 You sure you want to go by that?

1 ReplyIt's 100% this way so bad players dont' feel bad about being bad. That's why it's not K/D and is now KAD game-wide. It's incredibly pathetic and sad.

1 ReplyEdited by Killa Karizma: 7/16/2023 9:08:12 PMTotal damage Kills Assists Objectives These are the only stats that should matter. It's nice to see your KD for the purpose of gained skill improvement throughout your guardians career, but let's be honest...it's more of an ego boost for a lot of unfortunate guardians

3 RepliesThat's exactly why it's not there. Don't want to hurt anyone's feelings. Ever notice that there's always 1 or 2 guns per season that completely destroy the competition? Called giving those bad players a chance, which improves their mood and keeps them playing. And if you're playing theirs a chance they will spend money at Eververse. The end of everything they do ends with money. One way or another. I kept telling people this, and my assumptions were massively correct.

1 ReplyEdited by Cal O'Mari: 7/16/2023 2:39:50 AMIron Banner is a heavily team focused mode. Eruption makes sense to have kill scores, that's the only goal, but as long as there are objectives? The literal only scoring that should be utilized would be objective scoring. Obviously putting opposition down is part of the objective of the overall mode, that's the given of any PvP though, and it is largely useless for score. Its only real purpose in anything objective based is ego stroking, which nobody needs, and if they do, maybe they shouldn't be playing PvP because that's where most of the toxicity comes from; self-perceived superiority derived from massively inflated ego. We get multipliers for holding and taking objectives with infinite respawn. Kills just don't matter. Far too many people then never like to credit their team, and decide they're the greatest and everyone else is trash, so it builds way too much toxicity within this needlessly prideful playerbase. Then add, as soon as kill scoring is involved, people stop playing objectives, and that's one of the big reasons matches become so one-sided. Fact is nobody would win without their team, no matter how good they think they are, and that's even the story background focus that Saladin is constantly talking about, so the focus should never deviate. The Iron Lords were as effective as they were because of how well they worked together. There are multiple reasons score should only be dictated by team efforts, and none of them are participation trophies. That's just what self-perceived superiority tells people.

Your KD and kill count doesn't matter in this objective based game mode. I'm happy that they don't show your KD in this mode, too many people focus on just that rather than playing the objective, so it's nice to see them always on the bottom because they don't know how to cap a point.
-
I don't even know why some people take d2 pvp so seriously. Hell even Bungie doesn't take it seriously 😂
-
IB just needs to be taken out if it’s going to remain in its current state. It’s absolutely awful.

1 ReplyKills have nothing to do with the score, if you sat on a zone and killed 3 people , you contributed more than someone with 50 kills It's sad that people are so used to 1 type of game mode, they freak out if they can't win just by getting kills
-
3 RepliesIts an objective focused game mode, why would they show kills when they do nothing to affect the score? PTFO or GTFO
-
Because apparently slaying out, stopping enemies from gaining heavy/map control, defending objectives and enabling your teammates is not necessary to win 🤓🤡

1 ReplyEdited by THE GRIND IS REAL: 7/16/2023 9:54:08 AMEveryone knows the player at the bottom of the leaderboard is the sweat running round killing everyone lmao 🤣 😂 would be nice to show kills aswell though even if it still puts me at the bottom due to only one capture considering ib is a team based capture mode the scoring is fine and should be based on captures to get higher on the scoreboard
-
6 RepliesHaha ….awwwww you can’t see your kill count ….you serious! Get a grip! IB like control is so easy to do ….cap ! Then there are the little try hards who just want their little kill streak …don’t cap zones ….frustrating when you lose a game because of capping .
-
18 RepliesI agree I want to see my k/d I don't care about the zones. I get better rewards from losing then from winning anyway. Only place winning in a match matters is Gambit. Otherwise it's all about how many guardians I can take down.

Edited by DHawk12: 7/16/2023 12:52:37 AMI miss the days where “eliminations” and damage didn’t exist and every mode in every game showed kills/assists/deaths. Now things are hidden, kills/assists are the same and kd is replaced with kda all to supposedly reduce toxicity and make players feel better but instead misleads players into thinking they are better than they are.

Muh kay dee!

6 RepliesThey’re trying to get you to play the objective and not worry about a useless KD number.

Check your game history, it'll tell you how many kills you got.
