Why was whisper of chains nerfed in PvP?
Stasis is literally the least used subclass element overall in PvP. Forget Antaeus wards, striker titan as a whole, bastion, etc. And let’s instead nerf stasis even more for some unknown reason. I don’t understand. Going from 15% resist all the way down to 5% resist is absurd. Woven mail literally gives 25% resist and even though it’s just for body shots, a LOT of weapons aren’t even meant to hit headshots and even if they ate, body shots very commonly occur. I don’t understand. Why?

Have you ever played triple Behemoths running that build? If you haven’t, I understand asking about it. If you have heard about it and think that’s ok, please get a CT scan and see if there’s anything in that skull.

Behemoth titans. They’re a huge sleeper pick in PvP with incredible win rates from 3 stacks of them. Infinite ability spam with OS and damage resist. Gotta kill every class because of one outlier.

At least with STRAND tying me up (Preferably with a wine and dine first) I can fight BACK

Maybe they are preparing for a buff to the duskfield exotic where it no longer makes the cooldown 5x the normal duskfield recharge. Because the duskfield provides damage res as well with it.

I vividly remember an update that well addressed the entire damage resistance system. Like 1x resistance was changed 2.5% and the ceiling was 20% with 4x that you could only get via stag+stacking 1 additional damage resistance effect. Some one else remembers this right, or am I going insane?

1 ReplyMan I just started finding a Revenant setup I liked with this for PvP a week ago. This keeps happening, I pick something up, and it will get a nerfed shortly afterwards. Hell I finally got around to using good Handcannons (I use Palindrome with Rangefinder) and all of a sudden rangefinder gets a nerf NOW!? I don’t have an issue with it getting nerfed but the perk was the go to for years but as soon as I start using is when it gets nerfed!? Reminds me of when I finally got Not Forgotten, only for Bungie to to announce Sunsetting a few months later. I guess I just have some terrible luck when it comes to the balancing in this game. That or I wronged someone at Bungie and now they’re making sure I never find peace in Destiny lol

At least it was a pvp only nerf. Honestly I was expecting them to increase all stasis crystal generation cooldown and nerf the dr.

11 RepliesIt was nerfed because the triple stasis titan rime farming Strat that some degenerates use is too difficult to beat for most people, even some of the best players in the game. While I’ve beaten that trashcan clan numerous times while they’re doing the Strat, it’s just a degenerate playstyle. Did it need to be nerfed to make the ice titan cheese better? Yea. Yea it did. Is it -blam!- crazy we got that nerfed before arc titan? Arc titan having an even better winrate… yea yea it’s actually -blam!- crazy.

If I remember correctly, it was due to hunters and the exotic arms they had, since they also got a grenade charge reduction as well
