It's actually crazy that this is allowed to be a live product, it's disgusting. Other companies fixed the desync, but not bungie, oh no that's not budgeted for.
I know it goes both ways, but here in Europe 9 in every lobby (at least) are on psn.
No hate towards psn players, I know it's not their fault.

1 ReplyBungie is owned by Sony. Sony hates Microsoft. Microsoft owns Xbox. Therefore, Bungie hates Xbox. I proved your theory, you're welcome

5 RepliesWould it be a good guess to say op is playing on xbox? I find playing on ps5, the big issue is always with the xbox players. and those on xbox, say the opposite. Tells me that the two systems arn't talking the same language and the interpreter is slow, or drunk and the players on both sides get the shaft.

1 ReplyI can always tell when i am playing against a guardian from xbox. Bullets dont register like they would, their movement is weird due to crossplay lag and they usually see me a solid second earlier than they should (atleast it feels like it). Crossplay does not work with peer to peer!

3 RepliesOne thing I do know is most of the teabags I receive come from Xbox players for some reason 🤷♂️

7 RepliesAbsolute -blam!- storm iron banana. Other team 3ps+3xb our 5xb plus me Lag was horrific Of interest mainly European Wins pxxpxp losers xpxxx

I’m glad you say that as all of the issues I have In crucible are from Xbox players, so it looks like everyone’s blaming each other
-
Tbh on psn that is usually xbox players that lag, something aint right with crossplay.

It's a Total conspiracy, Sony is messing with you -
1 ReplyHow current cross-play game networks are set up Most studios typically use peer-to-peer (P2P networking) to save on cost. This prevents them from paying authoritative servers or relays. The problem is that the new Xbox does not allow P2P for voice, and cross-play does not support P2P either (since you can’t have PlayStation talks directly to an Xbox). This forces studios to implement two mechanisms: non-cross-play games will go P2P and cross-play games will require relays/servers. Studios will typically decide to deploy those servers/relays in P2P in a handful of centralized locations. This causes latency since the traffic needs to travel a reasonably long distance between players. For example, many cross-play gamers will typically be friends. You want to play against your friend across the street who has an Xbox—but you have a PlayStation. While the distance between the two players is small, the traffic will still have to traverse a fairly long distance. This is why there are so many complaints about lag in cross-play games. I posted this on a similar thread a few weeks back. It's part of an article that i read on cross-play implementation for gaming.

Edited by Andy: 7/15/2023 3:29:10 AMI was playing today and kept running into duos of one PC and one console player. Oddly it was the PC player in every one those duos that was teleporting everywhere, not on the radar and not taking damage. It was so consistently bad that I found myself wondering if people were deliberately loading in as a duo of one pc one console to take advantage of the resulting lag invincibility that the PC player seemed to be getting from it. They won't but bungo need to disable crossplay or fix the lag/latency issues it makes even worse than normal.

It goes both ways my guy, x box players are the same for psn players
-
The road goes both way. Bungie shouldn’t implement crossplay without considering all the cons. Pve is fine, just mainly the pvp part that is the most troublesome.
-
Amen!! Not to hate either, but you PSN guardians... I'm like WTH!?!
-
Yes other way round as well. Just don't do trials with 2 pc players. The little s0ds have ps4s as well, but used their pcs. At least that Google thing has gone
-
thank god i play on pc so laggers are super rare

3 RepliesPlayStations are easier to jailbreak, easier to mod, Xbox one's are not, at the moment anyway.
-
Been terrible since it was implemented
-
5 RepliesYou'd be better off complaining on Sony's forums. Bungo don't give one damn about PvP or the experience of the fools that play it.
-
no. that -blam!- is on xbox as well.

It’s the old gen consoles, matching ps5 and series x players isn’t that bad. But ps4 and Xbox one? You get 1min loading screens in between rounds, tower load times are 10x worse, desyncs, rubber banding etc. hopefully TFS is the last DLC supported on those ancient relics like TTK with 360. Also likely the real reason we got sunsetting lol. If we still had all that content in the game ps4s and Xbox’s would be catching on fire.

Absolutely this its awful!
