  • I figured i would reply here with a potential fix. I found someone who had the same issue and already did extensive testing, link here: https://www.reddit.com/r/DestinyTechSupport/comments/ebbijh/destiny_2_causing_pc_to_reboot_ive_tried/ The issue seems to be unique to the 2080ti cards, which are by standard factory overclocked. Specifically, bungos stupid old 90s game engine is having issues with cards that are highly overclocked (most 2080tis are). There are two potential ways to get around the issue. Install msi afterburner and drop the core and ram by at least 300mhz (do not touch voltage, that can mess up your card badly). The other option is based on the reddit post, open nvidia control panel, under help enable debug mode, which sets the card to 2080 standard clock values. This needs to be done every time before starting destiny. So far i have not crashed again in root, but will continue testing. Pretty insane that i have no issues with any other games except destiny which seems to be kept in place with duct tape alone. Would appreciate if any bungo staff can chime in with their theories/solutions.
