Unable to change account name despite account being brand new
Title. I want to change my account name to match what I use on every other website (zenithBemusement) but every time I attempt to change my account name, it gets rejected. I have the option, but whenever I press "save changes" nothing happens.
This is incredibly frustrating for me, as I was planning on getting into the game to play with my friends, but they'd only recognize me if I had my username. I see no point in purchasing any of the DLC if I'm stuck with a name I had no choice in.

6 RepliesHi there. If you have not changed your name before, try switching to a different browser or mobile to change your name. If your name was changed to "Guardian####", Bungie deemed part of it violated the code of conduct and changed it. If that was the case, you cannot reuse the same name again and will need to choose a different name.
