I my self played for the story and loot, but right now I see less and less of everything in the game and, what I'm chasing now is really nothing except materials to upgrade the armor and weapons, the exotics in d2 now are lack luster and boring, the catalyst for exotics are pointless to do and pretty much useless, the catalyst quests are a big joke don't even need them, Eververse runs the game now and all that loot should be in end game activities. I got no interest in doing the raids there is nothing special about them your just chasing the armor to dismantle it later to be unlocked as an ornament, the weapons are alright but get boring after a time, so right now were just chasing armor ornaments to be unlocked, the story is predictable now more than ever I mean it really the only thing left in this game is loot that is watered down just like the story why am I still playing this game and the only conclusion for me is to move to other games but to come back to kill some time rinse and repeat, that's me what about you why do you play destiny 2.

The gameplay and collecting loot

I DON’T, CURRENTLY. I AM BORED AS HELL AND I QUIT BOTHERING AFTER THE BIG WITNESS CUTSCENE. STORYTELLING IS UNFILTERED BUTT-WATER. LOOT IS BORING AS HELL. I DON’T GIVE A S*** ABOUT ANY OF THESE CHARACTERS BECAUSE THEY ARE LITERALLY JUST BOUNTY VENDORS THAT TALK TO YOU ON COMMS (I HAVE DONE MORE IN-GAME STUFF WITH CAITL THAN I HAVE ANY OF THE VANGUARD IN NEARLY TEN YEARS). I ABANDONED IT MID-SEASON AND JUST POP IN ON RESET TO SEE IF ANY COOL SHADERS ARE AVAILABLE FOR BRIGHT DUST.

2 RepliesAnswer (s): - because you have low standards. - because you strongly dislike yourself. - because you are easily duped. - because you blindly trust scummy companies. - because you enjoy wasting time. - because you have nothing else better to do.

Because I like getting kicked in the nuts over and over again!!!

For all the women that flock to me when I tell them I have Kingslayer and the Ghoul titles.

Trick question, I don’t. Next question.

Edited by Morakx: 7/8/2023 8:31:38 AMI dont anymore outside of the 1 hour on reset. Because this company provides overpriced garbage content these days that isnt remotely worth my time. Coming from someone who has "mained" destiny for almost 7 years.

Why I DID was for the Story and Gambit and When Crucible was good that also I started on D1, D2 on console and then switched to PC loved it still the minute I came back to it being F2P it was -blam!- multiplayer isn’t balanced anymore and the story if you paid for the game used to be free now it’s behind a paywall and I went for it because they were on sale for $10 and as much as I want to say it was fun it wasn’t all that enjoyable the Nostalgia was there for sure, but having to pay for DLC’s they could’ve done more with is disappointing and it was the only way to play more of a game that just isn’t replaceable Halo MCC or Infinite is my “Parallel” to this game and I feel they are slightly the same in different aspects

Because I’ve placed blind faith in a company to possibly/hopefully redeem themselves…all while I lose money in the gamble.

I stopped playing.

To get loot and larping of course

to use the guns/bows ...but half the ones i really want to use are unobtainable

2 RepliesYour title should say "Why do you torture yourself".
right now I see less and less of everything in the game
The problem is that there really wasn't anything in the game in the first place. Just a business controlling how players play their game, spending more time than anything else looking for ways to drag out their tiny barebone expansions using the dumb things about gaming to keep players playing a barebone game. Think about it, what have they actually done in 9 years other than copy and paste their work? Spam the same activities that have no incentive at all because of how barebone the game is for a looter shooter in today's gaming, just fill the loot pools with garbage loot to make them feel they got something. Use outdated ideas 9 years later like fishing, grappling, etc... Spam the same mechanics, ground pound, timers, and the fun one out of all of them, bullet sponges. Overall this list is huge of how far behind gaming this business actually is in 2023 with their 2001 engine/P2P.

It’s fun

1 ReplyThe feel. Destiny’s gunplay is easily the best feeling of any shooter on the market. Even if everything else in the game is trash, the feeling of the weapons will still be phenomenal.
-
It's the best game ever 😎
-
I don't right now. I used to play for the kick -blam!- mystery of being a guardian with no memory reading lore for clues and for the great gameplay. Now I sign on every once in a while and get cutscenes shoved down my throat until I get bored and sign off again for a few more weeks.

I enjoy it. Great gunplay and character movement. There are various activities to choose from depending on my mood. I play for enjoyment, rather than rewards,so that might be why I seemingly differ from most in this regard.

Because I’m a masochist.

9 RepliesIt's better than anything else, first person shooter wise.

(PvE) Titles, crafted weapons and catalysts. Collection stuff. Can’t forget about that sunk cost with a hint of addiction. Till the Final Shape hopefully

Because I like it.
