Destiny 2 servers are unavailable?

I've been unable to login into Destiny 2 for well over a week now. And every time I load up past the Lightfall title screen I get hit with "Destiny 2 servers are unavailable. Dismiss this message to try again. For more information, visit help.bungie.net" I don't get to see my characters or anything, its just that message. I never had this issue before and can't for the life of me see why this has happened but I know I missed out on a lot of stuff that's been happening and its quite unfortunate really. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

  • Things to try: 1. I suggest starting with the classic Open an Administrative command prompt, and type the following command: "sfc /scannow". Once that completes, reboot, try again. 2. Open a command line and type: "ipconfig /flushdns" then try launching the game. 3. Run a 'Verify game files' in Steam. 4. From the start menu, type %temp%, and delete the Destiny 2 folder. Try the game 5. From the start menu, type %appdata%, open the Bungie folder, and rename or delete the 'DestinyPC' folder. Try the game.

    • Same problem, got booted from a dungeon with a weasel error and wasn't able to log in since then. Tried everything recommended and it just didn't work, servers are unavailable for me for several hours by now. Every other game and app work perfectly, just not Destiny.
