Raids completions not giving spoils of conquest
So apparently raid completions and encounter completions in raids don’t give spoils no more, only the secret chests do so. Why’s that? It literally makes it impossible to buy red borders now cuz I’m always low on them and always buying red borders from the chest at the end. This should be fixed and it’s just stupid how it’s like that and it just ruins the raid experience buy not getting enough spoils to not buy a red border at the end. Please Bungie revert it back so I can be happy now🙏🙏

For the current raid, Root of Nightmares, the encounter chests give pinnacle loot on first completion per character class per week, and then give spoils on subsequent clears that same week, allowing them to be farmed for spoils. The secret chests give 5 spoils each, once per week per character class. Legacy raids give 3 spoils per encounter chest, only once per week. Secret chests may give spoils, depends on the exact raid. Nothing has changed in how spoils are given in recent times, only that current raids become legacy raids and so then follow the legacy raid drops, as a new raid takes its place as the most recent raid.

2 RepliesEdited by Xaren: 6/30/2023 7:31:01 PMEncounters in the most recent raid, which is currently Root of Nightmares, will drop loot on the first clear of the week per character class, and Spoils on every clear afterwards for the class. Secret chests will also drop Spoils of Conquest once per week per character class. For legacy raids, such as King's Fall, you will earn Spoils of Conquest and loot on your first clear of each encounter for the week on that class. Subsequent encounter clears on the same class will drop loot, not spoils. If the raid is the featured raid of the week, subsequent encounters will drop loot, but not spoils.

First run per character that week: 5 from secret chests, 0 from encounter Second+ run on that character that week: 0 from secret chests, 5 per encounter iirc the challenge chest in root also gives 5 spoils for the first clear on each character that week The older raids give 3 spoils per encounter on first clear but not repeat VoG and Vow still drop 5 spoils from secret chests
