Crucible has seen no significant development since D2 release. Matchmaking type does not count. There is very very very limited new content and the new/reprised maps feel like they play awfully in the D2 sandbox. As a PvP player, i feel entirely neglected. I’m literally not going to buy Marathon purely because of how Bungie is treating PvP. I refuse to play another PvP game from the same company again.

Cmon, Spawn. Putting this down here is just cruel.

9 RepliesI'm not buying it because it sounds worse than Fortnite. The cheating is gonna be off the charts.
I refuse to play another PvP game from the same company again.
If you pick up Division 2 and head into the Dark Zone, I'll take extra special care of you.

9 RepliesDestiny was never a PVP game. If yoi want PVP go play COD or something. You probably couldn't cut it there so you came to destiny.

I auditioned for John Proctor but I ended up one of the townspeople. Still bums me out.
ps- Spawn once again dumping salty malcontents here- this is quite clearly a Destiny 2 Crucible post. Even if it does contain the word Marathon... once in the title and once in the body... mentions pvp 3 times D2 twice and crucible twice, but because he used the M word and the post gets traction it gets dumped here? Mental.
6 RepliesYes you will lol

It's free to play by the way....

Can’t argue with your logic

I quit over two seasons ago because of the terrible PvP (the only source of replay value). But moreover I'm just here to eat popcorn and tally up all the people coming in with Gladd's take and passing it off as their own.

5 RepliesWhy do you think they are making marathon. It’s so all those sweat Lorda that play crucible and trials can go there and they can officially say that they are done with crucible. It’s a win for them in my opinion you wanna play a PvP focused game with a dedicated balance team go play marathon. You want a looter shooter with unbalanced PvP go play D2.
-
5 RepliesSame, I know I’ll be tempted but I’ll remind myself of how they treated PvP mains in d2.
-
22 RepliesI keep getting matched with the same phallace holes. Same boring guns. I’ll be tanking the reviews of marathon like they tanked my gaming experience.
-
Marathon is an extraction shooter. The latest trend in fps games. Even if I liked Bungie, I wouldn't buy that garbage.
-
1 ReplyI won't ever buy another Bungie product, or a product Bungie worked on, even a little.
-
I'm skipping it because I don't think for a second that Nu-Bungie could top the original Marathon games. Especially being a Live game. The patchwork "spit and duct tape" mess that are D2's servers further solidify my stance.
-
Don't understand why they would delve into a pvp only game. With how poorly they manage d2 pvp, it's going to reflect players expectations.
-
PvP only so I’m gonna pass

What do you expect from people that literally do not play their own game? it's just a job to them, nothing more. Bungie applications might as well have at the top of them in bold, "No experience required". because most of the devs working on this game don't have the experience, and it shows throughout the entire game. Think I'm joking? anyone can look up any live stream of the devs playing this game from 2014 up until now and that will be all the proof anyone needs. If the original devs that created Halo were working on Marathon, it might be worth at least checking out, but that's not the case, and the same people that worked on the base game and other content for D2 are the same ones working on Marathon. We all know how "awesome" the base game was.

its gonna be f2p

6 RepliesI’ll probably buy it

1 ReplyWell... I understand. However I'll be moving to Marathon and abandoning D2 asap. It'll be fun to beta test again lol

11 RepliesEdited by 9Knoxus6: 6/28/2023 3:53:07 PMWhen god made the heavens and the earth, he looked upon his creation and said, “all is well.” Everything is in place with a variety of maps, no need to alter anything if everything is fine. I hope you have the same outlook on life. I hope you change your house and car every 3 months to keep things fresh you little spoil brats. Oh no, you can’t do that because it is expensive and you don’t have money so you must be satisfied with what you have. Same applies here. If you want new pvp maps go donate a couple million dollars to Bungie and give them the design and everything and you’ll get new maps. Nothing in life is free you know. If you get something free then be satisfied and HOPE you get more out of kindness and generosity. Maybe if you ask nicely with sugar coating and frosting you might get a free map instead of hatefully criticizing.

I'm not buying marathon because it sounds like a fortnite or division type game with pve and pvp combined and that's not for me
-
Yup bunch of delusional 🤡 at bungie

6 RepliesFully agree. Bungie has clearly shown they have no idea how to make a good pvp game anymore and they expect people to buy their next game which is pvp only? Yeah i think not.
