Nova Bomb Should Not Kill User
Bungie-
Will you please tweak Nova Bomb, so that it doesn’t kill the user?
If you active the Nova Bomb: Cataclysm, near a surface/ and or enemy and you are too close to either one, the blast will also kill the user.
Why would a Super, kill it’s own user? You know the one who controls and activates it.
Please fix.

Nova bomb should kill its user. I’m saying this as a hardcore voidlock main. If blade barrage can kill its user, then nova bomb should, too.

Git rid of the hotbox then. It blocks bullets.

1 ReplyHonestly, these things only exist to be irritations for players. They may make "sense", but there's really zero real reason it needs to be present in the game. Same goes for quite literally almost every grenade a warlock (never seem to see it happen to any other class) can throw ALSO being able to one-shot us if we're "too close" yet they hit like wet noodles against what we're ACTUALLY trying to hit. These things only exist to punish the players because we can glide around and they wanted us to "feel bad" about gliding over enemies and dropping nades and supers at our own feet.

1 ReplyNova bomb is a bit tough to use at first but after a while you will stop throwing it at nearby objects. If you are not already using it, try the slower version that seeks enemies.

Probably because it's a bomb and that's what happens when you stand to close to one. I swear the complaining some how gets more and more devoid of logic every day. It's a fking explosion is why, standing on your nades will hurt too, nutty isn't it?

Oddly enough, the other day I did the legend Neomuna mission with a friend of mine, aaaand right before the Sparrow section, when the big boy appears, well I got trapped inside the forcefield around the spire or whatever. I tried to use Nova Bomb to kill myself in hopes I'd be able to get out and well, it barely did any damage at point blank. I could not kill myself with Nova Bomb😂.

I love having the whole enemy lined up in the open and my nova bomb snags on a twig just out of my sight and insta kills me. Or slightly grazes a corner. Good times.

1 ReplyNova bombs should definitely kill the user if for no other reason than each class has a super that is hilarious to watch people screw up with. Hunters have blade barrage but Mobius quiver is fun to see get screwed up too. And of course arc titans with their super that's funny sometimes even if people don't mess it up because people fly their titans like stunt planes. But if you could have it to where blade barrage didn't kill hunters as well that would be fair.

I disagree, yesterday in Iron Banana some Warlock came at me to Nova Bomb me in the face. I dodged, he slid forward in the animation and face-palmed his Nova straight into a wall, point blank. It didn't kill him. If you make a mistake like that it should totally kill you, I'd expect the same from any damage super. I've done it myself with Blade Barry and Gary Storm But I deserved it and I'm not going to cry about it.
