It will be very interesting to see of they address this in this week's TWID, at all.

He's a hippo... He's bought stuff with silver

Streamers and YouTubers are fake and selfish. Most of the time, I see hypocrisy. If you see them, most of the time they like touching their toes or they’re on their knees eating their favorite wiener. 🤣 Shallowness, like this game!

4 RepliesWho the heck cares about aztecross. He is a streamer and Bungie has paid to much attention to them rather then the average player. Streamers ruin games as Devs seem to believe they need to make the game for the streamers rather than the average player.

2 RepliesEdited by Sunshinus: 6/21/2023 11:52:29 AMI hate "but it's cosmetics" point so -blam!- much. 95% of weapons we got since lightfall release are just reskins. Meanwhile money we paid for expansions and season passes and dungeon passes and whatever else you have to buy to play a game like a human, is spent on marathon and to pay designers who make silver-exclusive sparrows/ships/outfits/emotes. If you think that's ok, you are delusional and don't bother typing a response because i avoid arguing with mentally ill people

1 ReplyEdited by Major-Payne: 6/21/2023 11:49:18 AMI’m sure all the spineless personalities brought all this up to Bungie at one of the many Destiny summits they’ve attended. Really took them to task I bet. I think they probably just read the writing on the wall put up a quick video to make the sheep happy. That’s easier than actually standing up to crap in the first place but that might jeopardize their summit invite. We can’t can’t have that now can we.
-
Bungie got their money. They don't care. They won't respond to any of this.
-
11 Replies...and yet neither he nor Datto used their subscriber prowess/ community reach to try to do anything about it. I'll get a bunch of crap for saying it I'm sure, but if I was that upset and had that many subs (to make a 30+ minute video) I'd be front-running a "revolution". It worked in vanilla D2, it could work now too. Like all businesses, Bungie speaks in $. Whatever though, everybody will turn a blind eye and forget about this whole thing in a week.
-
Can't stand that quear
-
He’s like I don’t mess with the golden goose lmao
-
So when I say it, I'm a "Destiny hater," which makes no sense
-
Kids with their parents’ wallet/ cards, other new players and a few other out-of-the-loop type people will still spend $ at Eververse. Unless someone has some other ways to go warn everyone other than forum readers and youtube viewers.
-
And yet every week he's lying about a new gun being "meta". He has no credibility anymore. The only time he's ever honest is when every other streamer is honest first.
-
I would like to add another detail to this topic. It is a minor one, granted, but I believe it is also part of the problem. Bangio also nerfed todayindestiny's eververse calendar. Before they made this change, you could see the calendar for the whole season and know what, when and how much an item would cost. That helped the players to plan their spending and saving of BD. But these season, they took that away, abusing even more on the FOMO. I know it is a small detail, but I believe many players used that tool to get exactly what they wanted, but then, bingou took that away from us. Personally, I thinks this BS from them.

31 RepliesIf any of these streamers really cared they'd use their platform to organize an actual boycott. They're the only ones who can.
-
Honestly agree for the most part. A big concern of mine is the decided step away from bright dust offerings during the season. - No seasonal eververse armor ornament set rotated through for bright dust - old LEGENDARY ornaments for reprised weapons - lack of OLD ornaments rotating through Bright dust has become fairly meaningless. I used to could count on my playtime choices earning a enough bright dust to pay for any shaders and ornaments as they became available… ie PLAYTIME REWARDED.

1 ReplyHe’s gana use the money he gets from the video to buy stuff in the game lol all these streamers promote the game you think he cares?
-
Well, maybe I'm unique, bit I don't buy silver to spend on doodads. I might be the dullest, ordinaryist, fashion disaster in the team, but when the shop says that if I buy this particular ornament, it will double my meager skill level, I'll take a gander at it. Till then... no. (And you do not have to buy junk either!)

13 RepliesEdited by Part Timer: 6/20/2023 8:13:20 PMto quote the absolute arrogance of one of the developers, said on twitter... "what difference would that have made, when you have I assume, already bought the season pass?" This statement here, should be a -blam!- wake up call for how the developers see the customers. such -blam!- hubris, no wonder they do not -blam!- care anymore. they can do the bare minimum and still farm us of our cash. think about that for a moment.
-
2 RepliesI agree with him, but he's about 3 years too late. Hopefully this gains traction though as it's a streamer and Bungie only listens to streamers.

How is this news to anyone? This trash company has always been the problem. Activision was smart to leave long ago, yet people still gag on Bungie D thinking this company and game is amazing. Bungie is the worst trash company in the gaming industry. Always has and will be.
-
Amazing that people now see the problem because it was said by a youtuber. It's been stated over and over for the last 6+ years, but anyone who ever said it was immediately labelled a hater and all the bungie sycophants came to their rescue. The reason bungie has stooped to this low is because the players have allowed them to. We paid them for this garbage, and that simply meant that we were willing to do so. Why would they create amazing content if they can get away with as little as possible? If we had held them responsible for their lack of ethics and shady business practices (by not buying their product) that would have made an impact. What bungie doesn't seem to understand now is, people are aware, and bad news spreads faster than wild fires in a drought. Bungie seems to think they will magically conjure up a giant fan base for Marathon, but those people are becoming aware of what bungie really is. And that's going to hurt.

4 RepliesCan't say I disagree. As he says in his video, It's not even about them charging what they do for the things they charge for (currently). It's about how they're doing it, how predatory it is, and how new players don't have an easy to use path or guide to know what they need in order to do what they want to do. My comment is mostly just a Bump, but I wanted to express shared feelings.

6 RepliesEdited by TheShadow: 6/20/2023 11:53:33 PMSorry, the Youtuber is wrong and is literally 6+ years too late, and I didn't even need to click on the link to know this actual fact. This is going to be long but here is the TL, DR, Destiny literally turned into Dresstiny the day it was released. This business deliberately stripped Destiny 2 base game to be the most barebone game I have ever seen in gaming when it comes to a looter shooter. They designed the entire base game to be focused around the shop removing everything players used to be able to acquire by simply running the activities in Destiny 1 that gave the incentive to want to run most of the activities. Their greed hit the roof, screwing the entire player base over that they lost 80% of their player base and a lot more with CoO because of their greed. They even stripped the vendors in Dresstiny to barebone to shove it all in the player's face by putting it in the shop. Public events were literally more rewarding with the "2 tokens and the blues" than any strike in the game. That's how badly they deliberately screwed things up, going from D1 Y3 to this mess that 6+ years later the loot system in this game is still broken. Since the base game fewer and fewer items were placed in the activities and more were shoved in the shop. This business was even nice enough to place the shop in the directory instead of placing something actually useful like the Postmaster that it took them almost a decade to do something about blues. Oh, don't worry, it gets worse... This was a real low blow for the player that knows what D1 reads offered. On top of all that, they used Dawning/shop as end-game content screwing over the player running prestige mode that just released, giving them garbage loot. But hey, we have a mass amount of loot in the shop for you. Meanwhile, while all that was going on, the fans were defending this garbage the entire time. "it's not going to get worse, just wait and see". The majority of you fans blamed Activision for every little thing and some of you are even trying to blame Sony now for this business's greedy actions. But, since some YouTuber that takes feedback from the forums says it's bad, now it's bad after all these years when it was bad from the day this game was released? Like WTH is wrong with you people. It's no wonder there are so many greedy businesses these days, you people are way too easy. No one should be blaming this business because you "Bungie" fans are the actual problem giving them the okay all these years. You made your bed, so sleep in the damn thing 😂

I agree also I went to comment on a post with this vid that I had opened before posting mine and it was taken down for violating community guidelines. It was the vid link and a few words
-
No. When has Bungie been able to reach in to your back pocket and grab cash?
