He posted a video today on this Mirco Transaction hell.
I'm Basically a New Light/returning Light after taking years off Destiny 2 I returned at the end of WQ(September 26 2022) because I had heard from friends that D2 was in a really great spot, bought all expansions to catch up on story.
I left at the end of Foresaken when Riven basically broke the 4th wall. It was very jarring, and left a very bitter taste in my mouth.
I thought Bungie went independent because Activision was pushing them to make more microtransactions. Seems like they really wanted to go the route of more Mirco transactions, but didn't want to share the profits with Activision
I will not be buying Marathon, I spend money on this game for content on this game
If you don't have any devs left to work on PvP hire more

16 RepliesIf y'all want change, you have to hit them where it hurts: Don't support Marathon. Don't reward them for neglecting their active IP in favour of a new one. Don't let them disrespect the people who supported them all these years.

4 RepliesWhere's the BDF? One of YOUR streamers just -blam!- all over you. Best part is Aztecross probably made more off of this video than any video since LF. Remember that BDF when you're talking how strong the game is. Lmfao at every BDF, Bore.

6 RepliesUnfortunately, posts like this are irrelevant. In a few days it will disappear to the bottom of the forums despite how many upvotes it has. Bungie doesn't like being called out on their faults. This also isn't anything new. This game has been in a downward spiral for years but the larger part of the community continues to support and pay for lackluster efforts. You get what you paid for. Years ago when I started gaming, they were one price. There was no season pass, no expansion, no microtransaction. You got the finished product at launch. You could actually tell whether a company respected the customer or not. Those days are lost memories never to return. I haven't bought an expansion in this game since Shadowkeep. With the ability to game share on Playstation I've been able to play the other expansions since then. I can honestly say it's money well saved. It's been nothing but recycled content since then anyway. D1 guns I've earned before, raids and strikes I played years ago, and D1 maps for crucible. Also adding back "sunset weapons ". I hope you all enjoy it through Final Shape. I have a pretty good feeling that once Marathon is released, there really isn't going to be much support for this game; from the community or Bungie. All in all, it was fun while it lasted. Keep riding the hamster wheel gaurdians.

181 RepliesEdited by Sarcastreaux: 6/21/2023 9:35:50 PM1. No one is making you purchase the micro transactions. Most of them are cosmetics that aren't required. 2. As for DLC expansions, most games have DLCs available for purchase. Destiny 2 is no different. 3. Every game I have played in recent years has micro transactions. It's how the developers make more money. If you don't like micro transactions, maybe gaming isn't for you. EDIT: I don't normally say this, but I agree with most things Datto said in the video down below. He went into great detail, summarizes what I mean, and actually shares the same opinion as me on most things. He even brought up some of the same things as myself. Thanks, Datto! https://youtu.be/N8BEbF6dL1o

1 ReplyDid Savathûn's song haunt your dreams after Riven was defeated?

6 RepliesListened to the vid and lmao. He stretched a lot of things to try to fit his narrative. Ex: No, d2 is not pay 2 win. His example of quicksilver doesn't help when the weapon is not the same as it was then; also, it was disabled a good amount of the time lol. Another ex: paying to skip the campaign isn't pay to win when you still have to do the campaign on 1 character to get that option. Currently, the micro transactions in the game fall into 2 categories: 1. cosmetic; 2. people that can't/ don't wanna play the game a lot, but still want levels to get season pass stuff. That's it. Which is fine.

4 RepliesAC is among the worst for what’s wrong with Destiny. He believes he’s owed endless noobs to smash in PvP, and he’ll cry rivers if his expectations aren’t met. He’s an entitled whiner. Without him and others like him Destiny would cater more to the vast center of the player base instead of the elites. If he’s whining now, it’s just that inner 3 year old brat throwing a fit in the middle of the living room floor.

The irony of uneducated trash cans who spend their lives begging, click baiting, stealing quotes, and making up BS for the sole purpose of getting money, calling a corporation who’s floor cleaner is more educated than any of them out on micro transactions? No shame. And all his imaginary boyfriend jumping on the banana.
