When new content launches, Bungie receives a hefty compensation from the vendor, ie Sony, Microsoft, and Steam for licensing rights. That's why if you want a refund on something, they direct you to whatever system you play on, and if you want to crossplay, they make you buy it on both. This isn't like what you see in the news; for every person who "leaves", 5 will take their place. That's how Bungie went from a 27 million player population to over 40 million in the last year. If you think a boycott will be successful, then CoD would've been cancelled years ago.

The only way for bungie to see any karma is if one or more up coming games fail...then we might see something. Until then.
