If the Drifter and Cayde-6 fought in a 1v1 who would win.

To be honest, Drifter is a survivor, not a fighter. In the scenario of who would win, we already know - since Drifter has done what he does best and survived. Cayde would go in without a second thought, Drifter would have 2 escape plans and a double-cross up his sleeve.

If I remember the lore right, the Drifter didn’t really use the powers from his light. I think that was a reason he would starve to death. He only kept coming back because his ghost would revive him, even when the Drifter didn’t want to be. But I guess since Beyond Light, the Drifter now has the ability to use stasis. I don’t think he’s used it outside that one cutscene though. I think another reason it would be hard to kill the Drifter is nobody who’s tried to kill him knows where his ghost hides.

3 RepliesEdited by jhermannITJ: 6/7/2023 9:50:01 PMCayde... are you kidding. They have had conflict, btw. Germaine ran away. I'll explain... it was alluded to in-game. Drifter has said... he knew Cayde the renegade. When he was of the darkness... The Drifter is a coyote... Cayde WAS a Dire Wolf. You know the Colonel? Know what that is? In Japanese history, Samurai would fold a raw duck or chicken egg into their belts to emphasize their dominance. I'll kill your entire house, and I won't break a sweat or this egg. That's how bored Cayde was with combat... he fostered a chicken from the farm, and took it into battle with him. The chicken was never at risk. Drifter wouldn't stand a chance, he'd be dead before he even knew they were fighting. That's Cayde too, btw... was the #1 assassin in the universe, we're going to have to grapple with that soon... Cayde's past. Who's the male voice during paragon rank ups that says they SHOULD OF killed Cayde... alluding to the epilogue mission. Who is that? Why aren't more people talking about it? That's a big clue regarding what's about to happen.

Well the only times we’ve seen Cayde leave the tower he got stuck in a Vex loop in the Red War and … Forsaken.

Can Shin Malphur and Dredgen Yor be thrown in the mix🤔?

Drifter isn't going to get in a fight that doesn't heavily favor him, you don't survive that long betting on chance The real main event will be Cayde vs Crow, and if this version has any memories of the one that died in the prison , new person or not , it will be tense , then you never know he might mentor Crow to be Vanguard, or put a bullet in his head, we will see Plus if he does have those memories, he will be pissed at us for not honoring his last wishes regarding Ace Speaking Of Ace, how is cayde gonna take it week he hears pulses and smgs are meta now in crucible -
What map are they on, if there are building driver would win because he’s smart like that

Context matters. The kind of situation that would pit them against each other would dictate the outcome more or less.

I'd go with Drifter, he has killed other Light-bearers and created a bank for hid Dark Motes which was made using darkness energy as its power from his trip to that one tomb of Nezarec. Drifter can probably pull some underhanded tricks, as long as it benefits his own survival.

Drifter's whole bit is running away. There wouldn't even be a fight.

Drifter is a survivor, one of the first of his kind so I’m picking him. Cayde got that quickdraw tho
