Why is it telling me to reinstall?
done update , been waiting forever to get in , then verifies game and tells me to reinstall , ive check integrate of files on steam and have tried again , same thing .
i have now reinstalled and yet again same message .
So THE FIX
go to C\users\temp\appdata and find destiny 2 it will be written as destiny 2 (with a space in between) delete the space so it spells destiny2 all one word and boomb it’s fixed and your in!

Same error for my pc, I’ve installed and reinstalled and even changed where the game went and still getting the same error.
