So I got the "Centrifuse" exotic auto rifle, and I love it. Banshee had the catalyst quest. 1st part was easy AF, but then comes this BS. WHAT IN THE HOLY HELL "Higher Calibration" "Calibrate data and defeat targets while suing Centrifuse" Calibrations occurs when you complete Vanguard Operations, Gambit, and Crucible matches, or, Seasonal playlist activities Higher tier Nightfall completions, Crucible or Gambit wins, and defeating Guardians provide additional progress - Calibration Data Generated - 0/200 Targets Defeated - 0% So I used the Centrifuse, and completed an Iron Banner match w 23 kills. We lost and when I looked at the card, it now read - Calibration Data Generated - 1/200 - Targets Defeated - 52% (ONLY got credit for 1 "data generation? DAMN! So I did a Nightfall using the Centrifuse. We finished w a score of 129,000, and it now read - Calibration Data Generated - 2/200 - Targets Defeated - 55% WTF? Only got 1 data calibration for a Nightfall???? As it now read, 2/200! Did a 2nd nightfall, and the card now reads - Calibration Data Generated - 3/200 - Targets Defeated - 59% WTF? So, you get only 1 point per Crucible, Iron Banner and Gambit match if you lose. 2 points, IF, you win! 1 point for a friggan, Nightfall?!?!?!?!? We've all had to do long, grinding steps to just get the catalyst, and then actually complete a catalyst with having to get 750-1000 kills or some crap like that. But COME ON!?!?! If you lose every crucible or gambit match, you must complete 200 OF EM! Don't like playing those, enjoy doing 200 Niughtfall's Now, I haven't done ,Grandmaster Nightfall, but I assume you get 2 points per completion? So 100 of those, too? Having to do that many is ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS. I hope the D2 team see's this bc that catalyst step MUST be fixed and lowered. A LOT!! Or increase the amount of points you get for a loss, a win, and especially for Nightfall's bc 1-2 points base, is BS They can go in and lower how many commendations to give out, or like they did w I. Banner last season, lowering the amount of matches you need to earn rewards Can't do it on the fly, then Deactivate, cancel or delete the Catalyst card, fix it, then put it back in the game I'd rather have to get 1000 kills as a step quest giving more progress just as it says on their, where you get bonus progression for guardians killed in crucible, in nightfall's etc -- - UPDATE - i'm adding this bc the 1st person replied mentioning the season pass and a catalyst booster. As I told them, I don't have the season pass. And to all those replies saying I must be a newbie, or want to get the catalyst, free, or as easy as possible? NOPE...WRONG. I have no problem grinding them out. I've done so for many of them when they were 1st introduced, thru summer 2019 when I finally got tired of the same ole stuff day after day and week after week and near 5000 hours of actual game play since D1, and stopped playing. Near 5,000 hours of actual game play...add in time in orbit, traveling, etc, 12,000+ hours from D1 thru summer 2019! NO DOUBT more than probably most of you have ever played who are replying lol But, there is grinding, and then there is plain stupidity making people do the amount of matches and or nightfalls to complete one. Whether you have the season pass, or not. As I replied to someone else, I got ZERO problems w DLC owners getting all that you get...Raids, dungeons, Battlegrounds, certain exotics, and so much more, I'm not even listing, that F2P users can't get. Hey, more power to ya!! Enjoy all that you're getting for the amount your buying it for YES, they are not making myself, or anyone complete any catalyst they get. Fully aware of that. Again, we;'ve ALL had ones where we had to complete an insane amount of kills, for example and we knew it was going to take time, But FTP player or not, having to complete that many matches, win or lose (preferably win of course) you still need 100 of them minimum, or 200 nightfalls or, again, assuming 2 pts per Grandmaster, is a TON Thx for your replies.
