They need so much more of a boost in damage. I feel like roaming supers being able to pump out at least 600-800k is PERFECT and is why silkstrike and bladefury feel so amazing. Spectral blades doing 300k with STAREATERS is pathetic. It makes no sense to me that single cast supers do more damage than roaming supers. Please bring not only spectral blades but all roaming supers up to strand supers level.
Edit:
No. I'm not using Spectral blades for boss damage, dum dum. Damage equates to how good a roaming super is at addclear, the reason that silkstrike is so amazing at clearing a room is because it can one shot red and even orange bars in GM level content. Because Spectral blades have such low damage, it makes it AWFUL for addclear.

They made it worse this season, the damage has been toned down if anything, constantly leaving people one shot in PvP is a slap in the face.
-
It’s awful in PvP too… actually all of the void hunter supers are terrible in PvP so maybe that’s a design choice for void hunter
-
It's awful. Period.
-
It misses hits. Hopefully Bungie figures something out.
-
GM level stuff is a poor context for ability and weapon balancing. Far as I'm concerned it's mechanically out of context.

1 ReplyDoes it have to be good at everything? I mean Deadshot and Mobius Quiver Tether are all amazing for PVE. Just use those. If you don't want to, you may have to accept that Spectral Blades isn't going to be as good as other supers in PVE when its already really good in PVP.
-
8 RepliesSB is a pvp super
-
They should have had the light attacks apply Weaken, and the heavy attack deal significantly more damage on Weakened targets. The damage buff, and adding Weaken only on the heavy attack, did very little to make it more viable in PvE, even for ad clear.
-
6 RepliesTether is by far in worse shape when it comes to pvp
-
3 RepliesI'm not a Hunter main but I have more than enough hours in the class to say this: No. Spectral Blades is a PVP roaming super. You have two AMAZING other supers for PVE in the same subclass. Nobody honestly thinks Void Hunter needs a buff right now lol.
-
4 RepliesYou can use literally any other super. Why tf would you use spectral blades in pve
-
2 Repliesbuff idea: Consecutive hits increase the damage of the light attacks, stacking up to 5 times, the buff last for 5 sec and restarts with the next hit. at 5 stacks attacks deal 150% dmg at 5 stacks your heavy attack sends out a wave of void flames that persist for 5 sec, enemies killed by the flames increases your movement speed.
-
1 ReplyIf you are using Spectral in PvE... you strike me as a person who calls the manager because the milk in your coffee looks offensive.
-
But guess what? With the new cooldown I finally get to use it in PvP again! Only shitty part is crouching precision kills don’t grant true sight anymore.
-
48 RepliesYou’re complaining about a roaming super which is designed for add clearing not having enough damage. Wow, thats pretty laughable.
-
2 RepliesKeep in mind, bungie HAS given buffs to supers before that makes them better against specific enemies, so a damage test against bosses isn't necessarily gonna be accurate for how good they are at add clear. Fist of havoc is an example. Recently they just said -blam!- it and gave them a fat all encompassing buff, but before they'd do nonsense like "33% damage to vehicles" and "25% to minors."
-
3 RepliesSame can be said for the voidlock supers, granted the voidlock aint played for nova but -blam!- it sucks that NB's+ NW do pitiful boss damage, while NW can do add clear its heavily outclassed by the classes grenades. Honestly sometimes novabomb vortex just feels like a bigger vortex nade. Is it good for pvp? sure it is, but some of us want to throw void singularities at bosses and actually do damage. Similar to chaos reach does. Kinda hope that bungie gives this class a super damage boosting exotic in future seasons. I can also agree that spectral blades still needs more juice in pve as well. All supers should be able to preform in master/grand master content be it with the help of a powerful build or an exotic It does not matter. having under-performing supers even after getting a 30% damage buff and it still not being enough to excel at higher tier content is sad.

1 ReplyFist of havoc doesn’t feel great either.
-
1 ReplyWhy would you use spectral blades for pve damage? 🤯
no spoiler
-
It's more likely strand will be brought down to spectral blades level.
-
Honestly I'd be happy if each light attack applied volatile. This would buff dps by about 16% and increase add clear. Maybe the heavy could apply 15% weaken as well.
-
13 RepliesThe three people at Bungie working on this game probably forgot that spectral blades existed.. make sure you pre order final shart tho 😉 they promise the game will get better
-
1 ReplyWhat's a bladefury? Sounds dope, how do I unlock it?
-
Truth told, I've used Shadowshot for so long I'd forgotten about it until I just picked up a Gwisin Vest from an Exotic fish a bit ago. Maybe I'll try it again when I next log in to see how it feels.
