One way to limit cheaters and hackers or exploiters

This game going free to play was probably the worst thing for the amount of content we get.

6 RepliesDestiny has gone downhill since they went free to play. The reason why this game doesn't get content added to it like it use to prior to the Activision split is because of FTP. There's no incentive allocating resources to content that doesn't bring in revenue. This is why we don't get Gambit or PvP content, & LF was the first expansion that only came with a single Strike.

1 ReplyMaybe try getting a little better and changing a couple aspects and fragments maybe a whole sub class or character to match your play style some people I know use to hate pvp because they were to slow as a Titian and I help them make a good load out on hunter and they have improved a lot just because everyone has different play styles
-
1 ReplyYou seem like you don’t like pvp much. That or you really hate losing lol

-
I wish the same but sadly almost all devs that have pvp make the pvp side of their game free. I hate it.
-
Sadly cheaters aren't F2P They do it so blatantly because only big obvious hacks get hit
-
1 ReplyWhy is pvp crucible not separate in the first place? Pvp should not have any affect with pve nerfs. Make it a separate download like warzone is with CoD.

Edited by TheShadow: 5/31/2023 1:25:29 PMIMO what should have taken place was this business using the player base money to create a D3 with dedicated servers. They had the money/manpower to do it, but they chose to invest their time and your money in their upcoming games and other projects. It wouldn't have solved the cheating problem as a "f2P game" does being in, but it wouldn't be as bad as things are now across all platforms. Not only that, you guys wouldn't have lost all that content they removed. Imagine a business actually taking a player base money and investing it into the game the player are paying for.
-
So what's your next move then?
-
Yeah I haven’t encountered any cheaters at all bungie is greedy enough let the people play the game clown
-
4 RepliesLol with the amount of content locked behind dlc and season passes the game shouldt even be able to sit in the f2p category tbh.
-
You’re so wrong
-
4 RepliesThe base game itself literally has nothing whatsoever for f2p, on top of that the overwhelming majority of cheaters own expansions. 100% of trials cheaters own lightfall, this would solve nothing.

Edited by SkinPoppeR: 5/31/2023 9:45:31 AMLols. Cheaters love to pay so they can cheat. That’s not gonna fix it. That will just bring in more whales. And then Destiny is a mobile game basically, at the mercy of the biggest whale on the server. Just the fact Trials is behind a paywall….nobody has ever cheated at Trials in Destiny……
-
I wish, man. But if PvP were paid content, they'd have to support it and not send their entire pvp team to work on a different game, and that's clearly not happening lol, so we're stuck with what we have.
-
Can you just pay for the game again? New account? Getting banned might be cost of doing business. Has that stopped cheaters in Trials which is already behind a paywall?
-
3 RepliesI am also at the point where I would be willing to advocate to limit all of PvP to either owning all DLCs or paying a membership instead. But it shouldn't be for free anymore. The amount of people I meet in crucible that are waaaay overperforming compared to their actual player behavior makes it obvious there are some nasty things going on backstage on their clients.

Edited by SkyeTheNeko: 5/31/2023 10:48:30 AMThe majority of people who play D2 will have all content. It will fix nothing. The problem isn't the people playing it as much as D2's PvP has rarely felt good since it launched. Bungie has made a game where it is use anything you have in any mode. That is the problem more than anything. If Bungie like Final Fantasy 14 had a dedicated PvP mode where your gear and level in FF14's PvE didn't matter with weapons, skills, and armor TAILOR MADE for PvP you wouldn't have the problems PvP over the years has had, Bungie will NEVER be able to balance any part of D2 without the other suffering it has happened so many times and continues to happen to this day.

Agreed, in D1 we got so much more stuff because you had to buy the game so they were still making money and were more motivated to produce more content, we had like 5 vendors in the Tower who each got a full suite of new weapons and armor each update ,and we got showered with new strikes and Crucible maps also But now they aren't making a profit off the core Playlist so we only get 1 new gun for each mode, and no new iron banner armor , and 1 new strike each year, and forget about Crucible and Gambit maps Paying $60 for all that content isn't going to kill you, better that than them making it up by charging us over $100 every year -

Edited by KIngJS922: 5/31/2023 4:45:01 AMThe game isn't free to play really. If you're not buying the season passes at least, you're basically doing nothing. There's almost nothing for free players to do and all the paid content outperforms most of the free content. Also this must be more common on PC or something, I have not come across a cheater at all. And I think allowing Bungie to shill players more by locking content behind paywalls is not the way to go, just actually do better with cheat detection. But like I said, I've been on PS, even with cross play on, I have not come across a cheater in years.
-
3 RepliesAnother question comes to mind here, you absolutely sure there's hackers and cheaters or is it more so people who know there builds and have better gear than you, as much as it is disabled for even play it's not always the case.
-
Yes give Bungie more money🤦♂️ Pretty sure cheaters are in paid Trials area as F2P doesn’t have any rewards like adept weapons so why would cheaters waste time in F2P?
