What if the name is lost through translation and it is actually akka...the worm defeated by oryx?
I am not that up to date on all the lore so i might be wrong.
But we are accepting asha's gifts in deep dive which appear as taken orbs .
And the hive worms feed on enemies killed while it seems asha feeds off of the blighted coral we get every run...but she might also feed off of all the enemies we kill there.

1 ReplyIt's all speculation right now. Is ahsa a proto-worm? Did she keep her original form due to not being corrupted by the darkness? Were the worm gods changed due to corruption? Is ahsa an ahamkara? Did ahsa species have some kind of evolutionary split where one became ahamkara & the other became the 6 worm gods we know of? Is the leviathan that rhulk removed a bone from & the hive feasted upon the same species as ahsa? There's so many questions & few answers. My biggest issue is the game needs to say something directly in game about how oryx ended up on titan. Speculating due to the royal chase scout rifle lore isn't enough definitive proof of how he ended up in the oceans of titan.

Asha looks nothing like the current worms or Ahamkara (what old lore said the worm gods were)

3 RepliesEdited by Sturm with no Drang: 5/30/2023 4:47:10 AMAccording to the lore tab from this season’s Ghost Shell or whatever it is, Ahsa is something akin to a Proto-Worm, from before the Witness and whoever else(Rhulk?) did whatever it was that turned them into the Worm Gods. The tab also makes clear that Ahsa rejected the conversion and attempted to flee, even attacking and killing the other worms in defense. There is enough there to differentiate her from any of the other Worms, but it does give rise to how similar their naming scheme seems to be. There’s also a bit here and there that implies that they already had an understanding of how to use Deep magics even before the Witness found them, so that might definitely play an important role with how we might find a way past the portal. A Worm that knows how to utilize the Darkness to an extent, the Veil seemingly having a directly connection to the Traveler, the reemergence of Oryx’s corpse beneath Titan’s seas. Seems like everything is falling into place to getting a key to that Λ-shaped door.
