Idk if this is consistent with everyone but I have just noticed today that when is swap from loadout to loadout that sometimes 1-2 mods and shaders will not correctly swap out the even though I have it saved in the loadout correctly.
At first I thought maybe it’s user error and maybe I didn’t actually have it saved but I triple checked and it’s not that.
Just bringing this to your attention.

Good to know I’m not alone…

3 RepliesEdited by Kouz_MC: 5/28/2023 7:41:40 AMBungie loadouts don’t save the artifact mods. Nor do they pull weapons or gear from the vault/other characters. In game loadouts function is a work in progress that has yet to catch up with DIM. Until then, I keep using DIM.
-
That has happened to me too. Sometimes my gear completely disappears. It won’t be on my character or in the vault. So I’ve had to use an app to grab it from the abyss.
-
From what I’ve figured out, this is due to certain artifact mods, specifically the “authorized mods”. They reduce the cost of mods regarding arc, solar, void, strand, and melee. I’m not sure on the specifics, but I’ve figured out on my own that having those mods enabled or disabled directly effects your loadout in unforeseen ways. It seemed that even if the authorized mods wouldn’t make a difference in the total energy of an armor piece, the armor would still be exempt from loadout application. Just make sure that your authorized artifact mods are the same ones as when you saved the loadout. Otherwise, revise the loadout and save the changes with whatever artifact mods you intend to keep on, or else you’ll need to re-enable some artifact mods in order for your loadout to apply properly. To make revising your loadout easier, you can view the loadout and it’ll show you exactly what can’t be applied so you can switch it out with its reduced or non-reduced version.

I also don't want my armor ornaments to swap. Just the 'build'.
-
Same here
-
I absolutely agree. Anomaly is the worst pvp map ever created. It should be destroyed completely.
-
We're your mods cheaper from last seasons artifact and now don't fit because of cost? That was everyone of my characters
-
My biggest issue is the artifact not being able to be saved.
-
Just keep on swapping it’ll stop
-
Is there a mod attached that has expired? This happened to me on Tuesday and I remade my mod attachments which fixed this
-
3 RepliesI’m game loadouts are a joke. My game has been crashing every time I try to swap to one with a finisher mod. Been an issue for months now and they haven’t acknowledged it either
-
Yes. You’re not alone
-
It was really annoying but I just re did all my builds, I would have had to done it anyway since the artifact mods changing messed them all up but now they all work fine. Haven't used dim for loadouts since lightfall released.
-
YES THIS ALWAYS HAPPENS TO ME. I brought this up to my clan mates and they called me crazy. It’ll be so weird that I will change mods, save it as a loadout, and it will save different mods (maybe ones I had on previously). I have to change characters, come back, and the mods on my character will then change, and I have to do it all over again and hope it saves correctly

Spent a good half hour fixing 9 of my “invalid mods” builds today. It’s caused by the artifact mods that reduce the energy costs of certain armor mods. Obviously at the start of a new season, any builds that took advantage of the previous seasons reduced energy cost artifact mods will be messed up. What it does is, if you have a working loadout and switch to an invalid one, the invalid armor piece(s) will keep its state from the previous valid loadout, including ornament, shader, and slotted mods. It’s annoying because rather than simply highlighting that your mod is no longer valid so you can replace accordingly, it will just replace it with one that is working from a previous loadout. So it’s not easy to see what has changed. My advice would be to unlock all of the second column on the artifact first before fixing your loadouts otherwise you’ll only mess them up again.

Division 2 and Warframe have great load out systems. I think bungies engine is not exactly compatible with a fully customizable load out system. That's why it took them so long to implement it. Also probably why it's such a bad system.
-
I've noticed that for mods you can only equip one at a time e.g. finisher mods, they won't correctly apply if your current loadout and the applying loadout have the finisher mod in different slot, to avoid that I apply the finisher mod in the exact same slot for all my loadouts saves
-
I’ve had that same problem but not all the time. It’s mainly shaders or ornaments for me.
-
1 ReplyI think it’s because some mods got changed with the meta swap, and the artifact change. You know how when you create a loadout, but delete a piece of gear from that loadout. The next time you equip that loadout, it won’t be able to put on the that other thing because it doesn’t exist anymore. Well, if you have on mods that get taken away the next season or changed. The data isn’t 1 to 1, so you won’t get the armour to swap properly because it can’t read it as what it was before the artifact meta swap. It could do the same if you just deactivated the mod discount cost. Simple solution is just to equip the loadout, re do the armour piece then set new loadout.

Yeah same - mainly helmet for me. Everything else changes but the ornament/shader doesn't

I honestly think it's server issues. I've been dealing with similar thing for weeks now where I consistently/inconsistently contact destiny 2 servers doing certain things or activities, and swapping gear or deleting stuff will sometimes cause a short pause to that specific mechanic. I've literally completely overhauled my internet set up to be the best it can be without spending insane money and I'm having the issue less without a doubt but it's still there which tells me it's gotta be a Bungie issue. Those dedicated servers everyone has been wanting for years and years? Yeah that's going to their "new" game "Marathon" which is strictly pvp focused on pvp and doesn't look half as good as destiny. Kinda pisses me off their putting all their resources into a game I don't think a lot of people will play and for nearly as long as destiny.
-
I experienced issues too, so I plan to use DIM
-
Same. It's one of the reasons I save all my stuff on DIM as well. Had to use it tonight as a matter of fact. Hope it gets sorted out.
-
Some mods won't switch either

I just brought this up a few days ago.
