Why are we still being forced into a certain subclass by those god awful artifact mods?
Why are we not allowed to play what ever subclass we like and have mods to go with that?
It's just taking the fun out of it these days.
-
Weird, we must have different artifacts because my artifact doesn't force me to use any mod or any subclass. Maybe this is an issue on your end?
-
Your not getting Forced in to Certain Subclass. Artifact Mod are Booster for Subclass, for season.
-
Guardian, Archon Of LightArchon Priest Of House Light - old
Warlocks are forced into a subclass regardless of the Artifact I want to run Strand, but because people don't know how to stay alive without the safety circle ,it's either well or kick -
The game encourages you to pick certain subclasses but the end choice is yours to make. The right build makes subclasses not supported by the artifact mods or activity modifiers still viable. The artifact mods this year have completely ignored Stasis but I'll still run my Stasis Osmiomancy Warlock in most activities without issue.

You aren’t being forced to do anything, if you want to be efficient and match the current seasons subclass mods then you can you don’t have too.

1 ReplyEdited by everwilling: 5/28/2023 12:57:33 AMForced …..don’t be daft ! I’m playing solar most of the time . Do want ever you want it’s just a game .
-
If you think the mods are awful why the heck would you bother? Simpleton
-
Because, people would just keep sticking to one type of build and keep complaining that there is no build diversity. You can still play your subclass of your choice and it won’t feel any less good. The artifact mods are only there to enhance other featured subclasses to give players abit of an incentive to play them.
-
Tell me you're a NPC without telling me you're a NPC. Just because there is a seasonal mod does not mean that your subclass choice is now limited.
-
No one's being forced idk what your talking about use what you want and you'll be fine lmao
-
Forced? No no no. You can completely ignore the artifact and do just fine.
-
1 ReplyAll the Artifact does is supplement or create new builds. All the other builds are still viable I just wish Stasis was part of the Artifact
-
Changes things up tbh.
-
They don't FORCE you into it to be fair. It just makes the subclass more utilized. BUT. The act of doing this is basically, imo, beta testing new perks and exotic ideas that will come into the game season(s) later. Or even to balance out what should be done to the subclass to bring it up to other subclasses' use and lethality/support power
-
2 RepliesI disagree? I’m shocked of all the things to complain about being “forced” you’re saying it’s the artifact? That acts more as an extension of subclasses and utility rather than a restriction.
-
I never play according to the artifact. Never bothered me
-
Because Bungies formula requires micromanaging how you experience the game. It's the only way to marginally create some hype surrounding whatever live of gear/classes they want to highlight for the season. It's an extremely manipulating and lazy tactic that happens to work wonders.

5 RepliesThis is a good point though

I wouldn’t bother to comment on anything other than game bugs but even then you’re not safe as you’ll just get a load of moronic sentences as you can see from the wave of toxicity below. You’ll see these comments in just about every thread there is always a get good, stop crying or any other caustic insert here comment.

why is the meta EXACTLY the same as last?

Edited by Cooper: 5/28/2023 5:10:56 AMI just feel like this artifact mods are wasted being temporary and should be permanent additions to subclasses via aspects/fragments inactive during pvp not let's the playerbase embrace the chaos of pve. Heck half of them feel like they were intended to be apart of reworks but omitted anyways.
-
Your not forced into any subclass. I enjoy solar on my titan so I will continue to play solar on him. Ive always enjoyed arc on my lock but arc had been lacking till now.
-
“Forced” Jesus
-
Pigeonholed maybe but not outright forced.
-
Its not really forced since all the mods kinda balance out a bit of everything but sadly I can understand what you mean. Its just something they've been doing since Shadowkeep but it wasn't as needed as now.
-
4 RepliesI believe they explained when LF dropped. They want increased play and on only a couple subclasses at a time because it allows for them to effectively "balance" things without being overloaded trying to "test" 5 subclasses at once. Long story longer, it is mostly for ease of maintenance. As everyone else said tho, it isn't really locking us out of anything.
