Error Code: Monkey
Whenever I kill an enemy, whether it’s an enemy NPC or Crucible Player, I’m automatically disconnected from the server.

Error code Monkey. Same problem. As soon as I do damage, crash. I can do things in the tower like get bounties and I got new gear from the gunsmith, but no mission. Can't open boxes on cosmodrone either. Wife's account is fine, but I log in to my own and it doesn't work. Glad to see Bungie sticks to blaming the networks after all these years. Why bother having more than one error code? They all blame the network. My network is fine. And always has been.

I'm getting the same error on Steam. I haven't played since they moved Destiny 2 from Battle.net to Steam. At that time I moved my characters to Steam but didn't play anymore. I recently bought the Beyond Light DLC from Humble bundle and wanted to start playing again. However, no such luck. When i use one of my old characters (I tried 2 of the 3) I am immediately disconnected with error code monkey on the first kill.

Same issue for me, didn’t play since I completed the destiny 2 base game on release, decided to buy all the add on packs and give it a show again but now everytime I kill a enemy i get kicked…

Same here, stopped playing in 2019 came back and now this what a joke.

I am getting the same error on Xbox. I haven't played since before Forsaken. Come back to all my characters being unplayable and being disconnected with the monkey error as soon as I kill an enemy. Have done everything suggested and nothing works.

Same problem. I haven’t played for a few years. Maybe 2019. I can go to the tower, run around on planets but the moment I damage an enemy I disconnect. I figured the problem was my end and wasted a few hours changing router settings and port forwarding, changing dns servers and reinstalling and so on. I’m annoyed.

I have the same issue. Just tried to play and found that all 3 of my characters are bugged. It is super strange because if the enemy is immune to the damage then there is no crash, but the second you do any actual damage…INSTANT CRASH.

Yup. Glad I spent money on the new expansion, only to have the game instantly break.
