Really BUNGLE?
Thanks for doing what no-one in game asked you to do. Stripping out the range buff makes Warlock melee worthless. Even BEFORE that nerf Warlock Melee was weak.
Do you hate warlocks especially? Or maybe you actually hate all your players?
I wondered why every single melee attack was wiffing...
You have now nerfed or ruined every single thing I liked about playing Warlock.
Well, actually, it's more like everything I like about Destiny.
The new season JUST dropped and I am already bored af.
Hire Designers that actually play Destiny.

1 ReplyIt sad that you really think warlocks are bad here's why, these are my opinions on why: Well of Radiance Icarus dash Sunbracers Void subclass: Child of the Old Gods, Devour, Overshields, Nova bombs Heat rises: AE increase Arc One-Tap Slide Melee Arc Souls Tracking Melees Stasis: Instant freeze abilities, and Shade binder super Gliding Well-Skating Healing nades Rifts Etc. These are the top of my head when I think of warlocks which of course takes to build up skill which you obviously lack, Ophidian Aspect is not what made warlocks good but made them better, even after the nerf they are still really good. Titans can hold lanes and rush up, but I want to hear why are Hunters are good, I can only think of crutch, stompees, invis, and Enhanced tripmines I honest can't think of a good one as a Hunter main. In conclusion, I believe it is the abilities that made warlocks good, but I suggest a increase cooldown on them as it is space magic but abused too much.

1 ReplyIf the only thing you enjoyed in the entire of Destiny was Ophidians’ extended melee range, that’s a you problem. As a Warlock main, I can say it feels good to be playing a fair game with the other classes now, instead of sniping them with my Celestial fire + ophidians scout-rife melee range.

3 RepliesSomeone is still living in destiny 1. They changed the melee speed to be the same as Titan and hunter now. Fitting that they remove the upside that somewhat helped to balance warlock melee out. Plus, the exotic did so much already anyway.

1 Reply50% usage rate in trials nearly every week last season and was the ultimate jack of all trades exotic, bungie didn’t actually give a f**k about rubber banding melees (since synthoceps didn’t get touched), no one actually plays and everything is based purely on metrics.

As a warlock main it is sad but we've all seen this coming the most complaints about it was the melee range what you expect stompeez and one eye mask it's luck we got away with it this long

I'm a lock main and I stand by the nerf, but this should also apply to titans and hunters as well, keep the bias to a minimum

5 RepliesRubberband melee isn't fun, nerf needed to happen + you guys still get like max handling and AE for free without having to work for it, regardless it's way more balanced then what it used to be.

7 RepliesI just don't understand their logic. They said the lunge was making them rubber and around, but they didn't change the lunge with synthoceps. Why do titans get to keep their lunge but warlocks don't?

Idk why ppl complain about it, melee don't even register, it was worst with ophies . But it pretty common for devs not to play the games they are working on .

1 ReplyIt was like an extra 1-2 meter extra melee range that caused a ton of issues in the game. I personally never used the exotic for that, I used it for the max reload and handling buffs. What does annoy me is bungie nerfs the exotic in hopes of fixing rubber banding but titans are still pulling that BS like no tomorrow. If they are gonna fix something then they need to do it right, not nerf a class and leave the others alone.

Tbh as a shadebinder enjoyer it's a welcome change. Every time I tried to freeze things I'd just slap them with a normal melee from across the solar system. I will miss the range in other subclasses though

2 RepliesBase warlock melee is definitely the weakest of the three classes, but aside from the weighted throwing knife and shoulder charge, I would argue the charged melees on warlock are pretty strong. You can't expect to play warlock like you would a titan, they just are inherently different and you need to work around that in your movement and positioning. Arguably the one thing that does need addressing for warlock melee is that if anyone slides under your line of sight, it whiffs entirely, almost 100% of the time.
