Consistent Disconnected from Destiny 2 Server upon killing mob

I've tested just patrolling on multiple locations, joining strikes, and trying to do campaign missions. Everytime I kill an enemy, i'm kicked back to orbit and given the following error message: [quote]Attention Could not connect to the Destiny 2 servers. Please try again later. If this problem persists, you should troubleshoot your networking setup. For more information, visit help.bungie.net and search for error code: monkey[/quote] I've tried port forwarding as a fix, but it still happens after. It's been a while but this D2 license was moved over from Blizzard. Not sure if my account is bugged or what is causing any kill to boot me. It's almost like game is say "ah, you're not supposed to be here or doing that" and kicking me back to orbit. No disconnecting hanging out in areas like the Tower or the H.E.L.M. Only when killing a mob. Any help would be tremendous.

    • I had the monkey error. I deleted all the stuff that was stuck at 1600. Now I get the weasel error as soon as I connect to the character. Before I could connect to it, now the character is "banned". Great...

      • Same problem for me, 6/11/23. Titan does fine, but my warlock and hunter...I can go to the tower l can buy from vendors, I can start activities. But if I kill someone or activate a triumph...anything that seemingly adds experience gains...kicked to orbit(monkey). If I activate a triumph in orbit, kicked to the main menu(weasel).

      • I have the same problem. Bought it few years ago. Tranfered to steam. Now i got disconnects every time i kill someone. Its not playable anymore.

      • Haven't been on for 5 years and I finally decided to come back to start playing all of the expansions but I can't. Everyone is saying it's due to cross saves. I really don't want to have to restart, can you guys fix this quick cause this is unfortunate for returning players.

          • @BNGhelp2 I’ve been having the same issue on 2 of my 3 characters after returning on a new platform via cross save since cross play has been enabled. My fiancé has the same issue with two of her characters on her account. We have just spent $80 updating to be able to play legacy campaigns and lightfall. So this is really disappointing. I can see you responded late last week and have been waiting for an update - with nothing for some time now. I also tweeted your help team with no response. At this rate I think I may need to start looking into a refund as the game I paid for is not actually available to the characters I intended to play on.

          • Same boat here. Been a PS4 player, which activated Cross Save with a single character. I will try writing to support to request a refund as I am unable to play the game (bought it 3 days ago and I have one hour logged...let's see).

          • Same problem. Returning player on Xbox. I have not played on any other platform so it doesn't seem to be cross save exclusive.

          • Hello. Another player here with crossed save from PS4 to PS5 after not playing since 2-3 expansion prior WITH THE SAME PROBLEM. Cannot play PvP not Explore because as soon as I make my first kill to either moc, npc or player I am disconected and back on Orbit. Please fix it as one of my most like games are the PvP dungeons and Vanguards.

          • Same exact problem, the first character I loaded up (Titan) since coming back is working fine but when I switch over or load up my Hunter I get the same DC, but it's in ANY playmode. Gambit, Crucible, Vanguard, PVE etc. I wonder if it's related to the known issue for season passes: [quote]Season Passes will be applied to the first account that signs in.             • Same problem here on my Warlock after returning to this game. When killing a mob or looting something disconnects me. I've tried to create a new Char (Titan) and there are no problems. But it can't be the solution to creating a new character and losing all the progress of the Warlock.

            • I'm also having this issue with my hunter. Now I can't even log in to him without a weasel error code. I payed for the boost and now can't even get past the login screen but my other 2 characters are fine.

            • I also have same / similar problem on PS5, Titan & Warlock play fine, Hunter is booted upon shooting an enemy. Can visit Tower, Helm etc no issues. Get error code monkey and sometimes weasel. I also recently returned to the game and purchased Lightfall and The Deep.

              • I took the hit and disabled cross save to see what happens. It [b]did not [/b]fix it so do not disable cross save if its important to you

              • Been having the same issue with my Warlock and afraid of the same result from my other two classes. I play from my PlayStation but have not migrated to PC cause I'm used to it here and have most of my purchases here as well. I even got all expansions in preparation for some grinding and fun times with friends who also have it; I DO NOT want to delete any of them and start a new game cause I have spent too much time on this so far and do not wish lose any progress with them. Please let my money be worth it Bungie y'all have been good to me years back, don't let us old vets feel left out.

              • I’m getting this same problem, only on my Warlock, not cross saved so I don’t think it’s that, I do think it’s the booster bc I did boost my warlock after getting my titan caught up after my hunter. Symptoms are the same, I’d spawn into any playable area, interact with or kill anything, and get booted to orbit through error code monkey. I know it’s nothing to do with my subclasses or any weapons I have equipped, out process of elimination it’d have to be the light boost campaign skip, ad most to all others here have also used it.
