This nerf went way beyond the heart of inmost light nerf. This exotic is beyond useless in the games current state. I understand you were trying to shift its focus to add clear but why throw grenades when you have volatile, jolt, shatter, unravel, and ignition on weapons. There are never any adds for this benefit to be of value.
Also before others start with the ridiculous and unnecessary responses instead of constructive criticism or evaluation. I hated the starfire meta.

5 RepliesPersonally I found the Starfire meta too easy to use in PVE endgame content. It deserved it's nerf.
-
2 RepliesIt’s in line with other things so what’s the problem?
-
Good.
-
Na, hoil got hit just as hard.
-
9 RepliesDid you think having almost twice the dps as the other 2 characters was going to last forever
-
We also have necrotic grip for ad clear but let's just have another one that takes way more to actually make it work
-
Yep, overkill. It needed nerfed but not to the extent that it was. Put in the vault. When the usage drops to 0 and people forget about it again, Bungie will buff it.
-
It's over. It happened. They don't reverse nerfs right after they happen. Move on.
-
They have always been heavy handed with nerfs on exotics. Its pretty obvious they want to see other builds and exotics being used. Adapt and you’ll be fine.
-
Yes too far
-
I still rock it, fusion grenades are still incredibly effective. Just not as spammy as before.
-
Well, I mean there's no more 'constant radiance super from D1', so there's that.
-
You still have double fusion and instant ability class so its still good for nightfall or something like that.
-
Back to ye old faithful lunafaction boots
-
1 ReplyThey'll give it a slight bump in about a year and people will thank them for it.
-
2 RepliesWhen hasnt a nerf gone too far? Thats why some call them Bungle now instead of bungie coz they havent managed to get much right since D1, except maybe the forsaken expansion that they sunsetted LOL
-
1 ReplyI wouldn't say that, I'd say it's about the same amount nerf, heart of inmost light is rubbish now, definitely not worthy of a slot
-
3 RepliesThe exotic still grants 20% grenade energy back on a kill in a rift. I think in terms of a neutral game exotic, it's in a fine spot. For boss damage, it's definitely not the go to any more, which is nice
-
Starfire by itself made demo a good perk. Soloed raid bosses, outputted the most damage and healed you and gave your rift back. It was way to good
-
Watched a brief video this morning showing how poorly it performs now. At the end of the test, the guy who made the video desmantled the Starfire Protocol. Definetely it seems not worth it anymore.

-
We all knew it was going to get hit hard. I would guess close to half of the Warlocks I've seen the past few seasons were running it. It was really at the point where you were hurting your fireteam if you didn't run it.

1st time seeing a nerf hit hard huh?
-
I hated the starfire meta.
Then no nerf for it would go too far. Also, some streamer dismantling an exotic doesn't make it useless. People just need to adjust their mindset.
