Shouldn’t have removed the pinnacles from strikes/crucible/gambit
There isn’t nearly enough ways to earn pinnacles now. I’m fine with no increase in power but now we’re back in year 1 D1 when you have to do endgame content to hit max level. Crucible/vanguard/gambit should still reward pinnacles. Not every gear piece I have is 1810 idk why they would do this. Just add a pinnacle reward alongside the exotic. Why can’t they do that?

If you really cares about hitting the cap you'd have done it last season. There's no reason to hit pinnacle cap since artifact bonus exists

3 RepliesI’m at 1809 power level and a solo player i don’t have the time to raid or play dungeons i need a 1810 primary weapon to reach pinnacle cap and i tried all pinnacle resources except raids and dungeons wasted my time with no luck on getting one 1810 primary, you never thought of new players? New characters? At least if those exotics would drop as a pinnacle power but no it says powerful exotic on it so no need to play that content if it’s going to give me 1809 drop while i need 1810 to reach the cap, thanks again bungie for making me quit the game for the third time and thats it this time im done, good luck to all of you guardians.

I reckon they believe most people that care about it are currently at the pinnacle cap. They were unhappy that some pinnacle sources were too easy, but changing them while everyone was still trying to climb the pinnacle ranks would have resulted in too much blowback. So they decided to freeze it for one season while also removing the easy pinnacle sources. Not so many affected so not much in the way of complaints. Then next season (or maybe the season after that) they’ll increase the pinnacle cap again. When people complain they’ll respond with the defense that their player metrics indicated the previous change to pinnacle sources had negligible impact. Maybe I’m just being paranoid, but I don’t trust them not to try and screw the normal players over.

It was such a dumb idea. If it was because they didn't want people being able to choose which slot to get the pinnacle for by using the exotic then they should have had the bounties challenges be the exotic drop and kept the matches and strikes as pinnacle drops. Or they need to make the bounties ones the pinnacle. Right now there's so few solo sources of pinnacles that they're only harming their player base. I'm not doing stuff for powerful rewards when I'm stuck at 1809 thanks to no dupe protection
