Season 21 is an instant disappointment
The weapons aren't good, the armor isn't good, the armor ornaments aren't good, the fact that Titan returning really was nothing more than obvious click bait for us OG players, the Eververse stuff isn't good, the exotic weapon isn't good, the activity isn't good; literally nothing is good. This wasn't worth the wait, nor the effort. I expected disappointment out of this, but I didn't think it was going to be this terrible. I'm nothing going to bother with anything this season. I rather wait until future seasons bring Destiny's reputation back with the same likeness that season 19 presented.

I just don’t really get this season. 15 minutes worth of new story. Two insanely repetitive playlists. Then fishing? So basically log in every Tuesday for a few to stay current. I can’t imagine running strikes, playing gambit or playing PvP on the tired maps. What drew me into the game originally in D1 was always having something to work for. To earn. Even grimiore chasing was fun. All the cool secrets and collectibles. There just doesn’t feel like there’s anything to chase. I’m not slamming the game, just feels hella stagnant. Truly bummed. I guess I foolishly expected more after the lackluster start of Lightfall.

OK, I'm just genuinely asking here. Every single month, season, dlc, I see the same posts. Why don't you guys speak with your wallets and/or avoid that season to show bungie whose boss. I get that we spent a lot of money and time on your characters, but to me, complaining here doesn't seem to do anything. Ppl still throwing money at everpurse, streamers still throwing tons $$ for bungie to get more views and to have their channel grow, there's also the ones who don't even go on forums. We as players need to start to take some action. I haven't played in a while because I lost all will to care about destiny. Diablo is around the corner, and as a gamer who plays multiple games, it's soo easy to let go of destiny

Glitches, bugs, nerfs, bad match making, lag, error codes, cheaters, and bad design choices that ruin what little thats left of the game that was still viable in some way. Its just a straight up sh!t show but hey theres fishing and cayde-6 is back so you better hurry up and buy that next expansion. Oh and now theres Marathon for those pvp people too might as well go ahead and GET YOUR WALLET READY. F**K this game dude Bungie can gargle my cabals.

The weapons are an absolute joke. Why do we need 3 more hand cannons and 2 more shotguns? There could be more but I stopped looking when I seen that. Ontop of that, the "new" weapons are reckoning weapons with a taken skin on it and they look like -blam!-. The other weapons are just that, sunset weapons come back. Season of the reissue.

The armour is dog ugly, but the exotic auto rifle is pretty good

So what, you aren't playing a season you are just waiting for one to start to see its weapons and armor ? Again, what effort ? Starting the game ? playing this easy seasonal activity ?. I am struggling to understand what you could possible mean by this. Yes the weapons are bad, I am really disappointed that we got the Prime weapons instead of the normal ones. The normal ones were infinitely better. Sucks even more that they gaved us to sets of these Prime weapons. The exotic Auto rifle is just a normal Auto rifle with a slightly modified Perpetual motion.

At least Warlock and Titan are. Titan coming back? In my opinion the environment is pretty spectacular. Love all the under-sea stuff, vibrant, looks great. IMO they added what Titan always should have had. Salvage was a decent activity that had a bit more going on than battlegrounds have had. Haven't tried deep dives yet but two separate repayable Playlists in a season is nice compared to the usual one. Story is literally setting up Xivu Arath for the first time, and it looks like the story will give us a glimpse possibly into the next year. The exotic auto is definitely better than you're claiming. Might even be good in pvp as a primary cloudstrike. Dunno what the catalyst will do but could really beef up the gun even further. It's less than a day in too. Settle down.

2 Repliesdid you have literally only done ONE season mission. all your game history for the last 8 hours is 90% all moon and nightmare hunts. the one seasonal mission you did you literally did the worst on yoru entire team with only 54 kills while everyone lease is 90-200. its also day one so you are judging the entire season just because you where not hand held and spoon fed all the content in one mission. so far this season is on the same level as 19.

Yea the whole methane bullcrap turned me completely off. Methane is about a little less than half the density of water. Humans can swim in liquid methane although its not safe to do so

Edited by xbroggiex: 5/24/2023 11:58:25 PMSeason is torn in too many directions that it just ends up being a mess. Salvage is the 6 man matchmade mode that you'd expect out of Destiny now. Deep Dive is the 3 man activity with some rogue-lite elements via buffs. Fishing is just... well fishing. There isn't a cohesive idea of what this season should have you playing when all 3 activities are pretty redundant since they all offer the same rewards. Why should I play salvage when I can play Deep Dive? Especially since it can be cleared quicker compared to Salvage that is horribly dragged out in the defending boxes or stop thrall from entering portal encounters. Or why should I play Deep Dive when I can just do fishing which is just pressing a button occasionally? There isn't any seasonal loop between any of the three activities. Its like Plunder but without needing Ketchcrash to be played to get map fragments, meaning that whole activity is pointless to play. However, I do like how Salvage gives you either an indoors location or outdoors location each time you match into it keeping it a bit fresher for longer compared to something like Ketchcrash. Titan not returning as a destination to patrol is the biggest disappointment when with the amount of assets they reused they could easily reprise it.
