Previously to purchase a season (1000 silver) you would simply need to purchase the $10 silver bundle (which gets you 1100 silver) to get it. Now with the price increase its 1200 silver, exactly 100 silver more than what the $10 bundle gives. So there is no way to purchase the now 1200 silver season pass without buying the $15 bundle (1700 silver) leaving us with 500 silver extra, which doesn't even give us enough to buy the next season with just the $5 bundle. I can put up with a price increase to the season pass as long as there is a direct purchasing option (or a $1 silver option for 100) that gets me the amount of silver I need. I expect these types of buying options from a mobile game and not from Destiny.

1 ReplyIt mat be unrelated, but it seems like they are less and less concerned with appearing greedy under Sony Honestly allowing stuff for bright dust to reward those who play the game was there only redeeming quality but it looks like that's going away

2 RepliesBuddy The price increased was known for a month now You just gonna need to pay the 5$ extra once then on the next 2 you can just get the 10$ pack and us the balance of the 5$ pack Learn to math

I'll be writing my congressman about this practice. Nope. Not kidding. We all should. It is an unethical practice game companies should never have gotten away with in the first place. Now that the sleazy corpo scum have got their greedy little grifter paws into game companies, -blam!- like this will just get worse and worse if we let it. Our voices do matter though. Think we should just pay what is asked for a game and shut up? I thought that too... Until game companies started using psychological warfare on their own customers. Studying and implementing every single addiction trigger they could find to get players to pay as much as possible for increasingly 'thin' product. Bungie actually said they were surprised people kept playing D1 after completing available content?! Like hell they were. Every season the level design gets worse. This season they added Spaces we literally have to Stand in while fighting sponge mob reskin pants. It the laziest garbage game design possible. Gunship

1 ReplySeems that you don't understand that this is a gambit by Bungie for the little kiddos that have no self control. You have 500 extra silver you say this season? Here's a shiny new ornament in the Eververse for you to buy! Next season you can repeat the cycle!
-
Silver & Eververse is one of the worst things to ever happen to this game. Greed corrupts everything.
-
6 RepliesWell adding on to that. Not sure if anyone else noticed this but.... 1. Seasonal Eververse Armor ornaments will not be able to be purchased for Bright Dust now. 2. The only Seasonal eververse items that you will be able to purchase this season for bright dust will be the exotic armor ornaments and emotes. 3. The only way to purchase this seasons eververse shaders will in the Silver Bundles. bungie is slowly and efficiently making our bright dust irrelevant.

2 RepliesEdited by Deus: 5/24/2023 1:18:05 AMNo, shut up and fork over the cash, chump. You know you want to - Bungie

I didn't buy the Lightfall edition that gave year round season passes.. good decision #1 as LF was terrible I see that it now costs $15 to go underwater.. I'll pass forums aren't really glowing with praise about this season, seems like an easy pass

1 ReplyEdited by Gunship: 5/24/2023 5:36:02 AMPretty sure Bungie doesn't actually care if Destiny dies at this point. They sold to Sony, promised them 25 more ips like this one and seem to be focused on that. Destiny is a low priority (if this game even has ANY priority),and one they don't want to "overdeliver" on. From what I have seen lately, we are just an experiment to see how far they can water down content and raise prices till we actually stop playing. If they had ANY integrity at all, they would have put a large chunk of money back into Destiny. They don't.
-
It’s intentional it was made as a way to increase the price by 50% so bungie gets more money
-
Lol this is what the carnivals do here in the summer. Rides are 40 tickets. It's around 20 bucks for 60 tickets. They can f off as well

15 RepliesYou're right. This is a common practice in all the games that have a shop with a real money currency. Silver, Gems, Tokens. You know. Packs are always organized in the way that they give you either slightly more or slightly less of what you need in order to make you spend more and leave you with some remain in order to bring you to spend something else, compensate, and buy more. Is Bungie ever going to change this allowing players to buy only 100 Silver? Or to buy the Season directly for 11.00 €/$? Unlikely. So it's up to the player to either decide if this price increase and what brings is worthy the purchase or not.

20 RepliesScumbag bungie.. but yeh Activision where the bad guys

3 RepliesIf you keep playing the game and buying Silver, eventually you will even out to a free season. Or you'll want to buy an ornament from Eververse but be short a few Silver, and go buy more to cover it, then you have none left towards the "free" season. Except from Microtransactions 101: Lesson 1.
-
5 RepliesThis pissed me off today that i uninstalled the game also what happened to the "story" content that was supposed to come to each season that was supposed to be free if you bought lightfall
-
I take it as they want less sales, so its simple just dont buy it? Stop caving in when theres no new "content" anyway.

If the season is 1200 silver then let me purchase exactly 1200 silver. Or at least have the decency to put some silver in the season pass so that you will collect enough for the next season through playing the game.
-
3 Repliesif you dont like it then dont play it nobody is forcing you to pay the game is their property they can do whatever they want with it they can increase the price to 1200 silver or to 12000 silver, it isnt your place to tell them what to do either pay or stfu and go play some other game they only increase the price caue they didnt meet their target goal cause lf didnt sell as much as they expected and they know addicts like you will do nothing and just cry for a while in forums and buy the season pass anyway so doesnt matter now cry harder
-
In business psychology it's called a decoy tactic
-
That's how the grift goes, set their prices to use a virtual currency, said virtual currency costs more than what it gives and on top of that.. Said currency is also taxable, making it cost almost 4-5 dollars more on top of that And the kicker is bungie gets away with it because it's legal

4 RepliesEdited by He's Crotating: 5/24/2023 2:45:28 AMDid anyone notice 3 of the new shaders are locked behind 1000 silver bundles? There was only one shader locked behind a bundle last season. To add to the insult, the weapons in those bundles are rarely used anymore. They wont be sold for bright dust this season and i think that's a slap in the face.
-
Working as intended
-
1 ReplyA $12 silver option would be nice for people in your situation, but idk why you'd complain about $5 not being enough to buy another season later.
-
I thought seasons were 15 dollars this entire time.
