Glimmer Farming

Let me see if I understand this correctly. When farming a Lost Sector for Glimmer, the Ultimate Glimmer Booster, the Ritual Glimmer Booster, and the final chest do not equate to a reasonable amount of minimum Glimmer being dropped every time you complete the sector. In other words, no matter what boost you have on, you will always be at the mercy of Bungie employees setting the minimum drops low so that it takes you forever to grind out Glimmer. Is that correct?

  • I’ve never had to farm glimmer?! What are you doing with it ? But saying that I’ve played for a long time and have plenty of resources. It’s more shards are the most important resource.

  • I like using the Public Event loop on the EDZ. I feel that EDZ is only location where the timers for the various PE are spaced out enough that you can easily go from one to another one pretty easy, especially Trostland to Winding Cove to The Glutch and finally The Sludge. Even if you miss one or two, you're looking at about 12K per completion of a heroic one.

Some lost sectors give more glimmer than others. In around 3 minutes you can net up to 8000 glimmer from lost sectors. Now, the fastest farm for glimmer is heroic public events that drop over 12000 glimmer.
