People will help. I got help for 3 raids and 2 dungeons recently. You will just have to get lucky and keep on looking for lfg. Good luck
-
I will help. Do you need a build? Tell me your favorite class. Need to do a GM. I'll help. Need to do a raid? I'll help out unless it's the newest one or last wish that'll need a more experienced player, but the rest I'll help. Dungeon, I'll help. Just wait for the weekends or wait till I get off work and I can help. There are players who will help you out. Just gotta be lucky to find the ones who won't troll you.

I help a lot of people, what do you need help with?

1 ReplyEdited by Ryan Foxling: 5/15/2023 11:21:37 PMSome enjoy helping others, some don't. Like most people care about themselves much more than others and if you think that I'm wrong, you are probably lying to yourself

You just haven’t asked the right Guardian(s) yet
-
I've helped plenty of people in the past, but I find that when they get things easy and don't have to work for it, they don't appreciate the good loot you helped them get and they don't play the game for long.
-
Because I don't want to.
-
They do exist. What are you looking for help with?

1 ReplyPeople are too focused on being optimized with their time that they forget to have fun

Lack of incentive and lack of time.

This has been a topic of conversation since vanilla release back in 2014. It's not so much that nobody is willing to help new or current players, but, in my opinion, moreso that the players needing help may not be looking in the right places. When you ask for help in the LFG, it's a gamble as to who you'll get helping, so when there is a personality, mindset or play style clash, the negative experience unfortunately becomes a generic representation of all players. Also, a lot of the "helpful" players have gotten burned out or overlooked due to the demands for specifics (i.e. Insert ridiculous KD or number of gilded triumphs or event clears, etc). I have always recommended trying to strike up conversations with the randoms during matchmade strikes or events. I've met a lot of super cool, chill players this way. I've also had many players message me later on and asked for help with nightfalls or exotic missions. Kinda goes back to the phrase, if you don't ask the answer is always no. Lastly, think about joining a clan. It doesn't have to be a big clan or a super competitive one. Just a consistent team of guardians that you can link up with whenever you are wanting reliable assistance for in game goals.

No offense, but a lot of us are tired of explaining mechanics for the fiftieth time.

1 ReplyLook at revive tokens in legend content Bungie is actually discouraging players to help others
-
Well take me for Example, Bungie Watered the game so much i wont play. I used to help people through Dungeons and Raids, even tried at Trials a Few Times. Unfortunately Bungie is pushing out Vet players everyday, and Players who are joining now, dont know squat, and are not really in a position to Help or carry others in activities. ..So..ya. IMHO.

Edited by SkellRino: 5/15/2023 9:03:02 PMFrom my perspective? I see too many people burnt out from this game. Most, but not all, of my friends and clan dropped like the sunset after week 6 was over oddly enough. Been on my own since.
-
Edited by EW81: 5/15/2023 2:22:08 PMI would say that is not true. The help lfg always get filled. Plenty of players are happy to help, just ask.
-
Lack of time is my reason. I’ve only got an hour or so to play each day I’d rather get a few raids or GMs done then teach 1 dungeon to a new player
-
The difficulty increase was #1. Why help someone with no benefit when I have to explain builds, strategies, and mechanics. Plus, will it be more difficult for no extra rewards? Nah. I got burnt out with these seasonal missions. Every week, being asked 3+ times to help people because you need to do legendary for catalysts. And the difficulty is too high for regular people. It exhausted my patience for new players. Blame bungie.

Join a clan!!!

Helped a blueberry with getting Gally the other day. They invited myself and another random person in the tower, guess no luck with lfg these days.
-
Doncha know? Only rank 11s with 15+ clears on both difficulties, who gilded conquerors and sport a +1.5 KD play this game
-
1 ReplyMost players are just in their little social bubbles helping each other and themselves. All the cool people that would help others just for fun, not for views and likes etc., have mostly left the game it seems.
-
You should make a lfg post for the raid you want to do and in the post indicate that you need a sherpa and are looking for a chill/ teaching run. Imo deep stone crypt and root of nightmares are very good entry level raids. Best practice is to watch a video beforehand so you have an idea of the mechanics and roles for the raid.
-
Loads of players are willing to help. There’s posts affecting to Sherpa every piece of content every single day
