I have the Volatile Flow Artifact Perk that says:
“Picking up an Orb of Power grants your avoid weapons Volatile rounds”
While I doing a lost sector with Hard Light as my only Void weapon, I noticed that when I picked up an orb of power, Volatile Rounds was not activating.
If I equipped a heavy Void weapon, then the perk would activate and Hard Light would have volatile rounds.
I also tested this using a Kinetic Weapon with Osmosis, while having solar weapons in my other slots. I tossed a void grenade into a wall, which changed my Kinetic weapon to a void weapon, picked up an orb of power and immediately had Volatile Rounds activate. If I do this same thing with Hard Light equipped, Hard Light will also get volatile rounds because of the Kinetic “void” weapon.
This seems to be a bug with the Hard Light not being recognized as meeting the condition of having a void weapon equipped.

Try it without the overload mod from the seasonal artifact, artifact mods override volatile anti barrier effect.

People kept saying its a "you issue" or something to that effect, and here we are now. They literally put out a broken seasonal perk and chose to never fix it. This exact scenario happens with almost every void in second slot. I want to say I actually had a couple of Legendary weapons work without Void heavy. It will not activate unless you have a Void heavy equipped though. Luckily I love Retrofit and have used it almost all season, but the fact that it was never fixed is just angering. This is exactly why I don't put stock into seasonal artifacts, and generally disregard seasonal perks, because Bungie can't even make those work. Bricks From Beyond barely activates as well, and regular ammo finders STILL give less drops than you'd get without them.

This seems to be a bug with the Hard Light not being recognized as meeting the condition of having a void weapon equipped.[/quote] Reason: Hardlight isn't a specific elemental weapon, it's coding isn't the same as a void, arc or solar weapon regardless of it having all 3, it's not the same as a normal gun I would guess this also includes Borealis having the same issue due to their design

Known issue, you have to equip a void heavy, im then it will give both weapons volatile rounds.

Pvp fans would hate it but what would be cool is if you buffed rounds for one mag after changing ammo types. So change to void, one mag of volatile rounds, switch to arc, one mag of jolt rounds, switch to solar, one mag of scorch rounds.

I had the same problem when using a glaive and having the unstoppable glaive perk unlocked on the artifact. I got around it by equipping a void heavy weapon then I would have volatile rounds for the glaive.
