Star Wars Visions season two review, but better.

It’s fantastic. Every episode felt thought out and not at all rushed. I’ll proceed to rank the episodes from least favorite to most favorite. I’ll also provide reasons, unlike SOMEBODY who just said it was bad without saying why. There are spoilers in the rankings, by the way, so go watch the show first please. General overview: The music was glorious the whole way through. No matter my ranking for the episodes, all of the music was great. Just some was better than others. Each studio had their own ideas and they made them no matter what people thought and I love that. Voice actors. Phenomenal job for EVERY SINGLE CHARACTER. Perfection. Some episodes feel fast, but that’s for a reason and I don’t actually knock points for that. I know I’ve already said this, but no matter the ranking, I loved every episode. Rankings: 9. Aau’s Song I feel bad putting it here, but comparatively… The others were just better. The relationship is beautiful and the music is amazing, but the animation just didn’t resonate with me, which again, it’s just a personal preference thing there. It’s also a little strange to me that there’s just just a planet with huge amounts of Kyber crystals in it and it hasn’t been mentioned once before. It’s still great. 8. In the Stars Again, I feel bad, but it needed to be longer. The bond between sisters is HUGE here and it just needed time to prosper. That’s really the main reason. The animation is another, but again, that means nothing for the actual quality of the episode. I’m allowed to have bias. 7. The Pit Kinda… boring. I said it. I didn’t put it lower though cause it did what some of the lower ranks couldn’t do which was have a protagonist die in the middle of an episode. It was a big shock, but it just couldn’t make up for the rest of it. Desert planets just aren’t interesting settings. 6. The Spy Dancer It was a tough choice between this and the next entry, but I chose to put this episode here because the next one has… well you’ll hear about it in a second. I really like the story for this one. It has awesome dialog and VA, and the TWIST! A little “I am your father” reference. It was enjoyable. 5. Journey to the Dark Head Yes. The action sequences in this are PERFECT. The only slight thing is the line delivery kinda slips a little for me. It’s not bad, but it’s not great. The story was intriguing and the characters were thought out. Also, I wish we got more of the temple in the exposition, but it’s not a huge deal. 4. I Am Your Mother Hear me out. It’s really childish. But I love it. The characters are so endearing and I just wish I had more time with them. I’m not normally a big fan of claymation, but damn it grew on me. I want more please. Also, side note, I realize the last three rankings have been in their episode order too. Ironic. 3. Screecher’s Reach The VA is the best. The BEST. The story kept my eyes glued to the screen. The animation is fantastic in all sorts of ways I could go into, but this post is really long already. And the TWIST! God I love so much. The perfect amount of desperation. Chef’s kiss. 2. Bandits of Gorlak I cannot express how difficult this was. I love everything about this episode. The animation was crisp and flashy and it was stunningly beautiful. The characters and VA was crazy impressive to me. They felt like real siblings and people and it was just great. The music had me feeling things, as well. God that flute goes hard. Perfection. 1. Sith This was incredible. Incredible. This got the edge over Bandits because of the animation. It is the perfect blend of realism and that comic book-y feel during fights. Ugh. I love it. The characters were real and the dialogue felt pure and raw and the FIGHTS! Everything about this is my perfect episode. Droid fights, unique Sith design, and, um, an orange lightsaber? Yes please. Plus, cute droid adds huge points. Tl;dr: 1st episode was the best, and the last one was the least best. Worst was not an option here. The first season is great too, but I think I like this one more. Higher highs, and not as low lows. Thanks for reading my essay, I hope I get an A.

Perfection
Hard agree. As someone who has a younger sister, it was nice to see that sort of relationship play out. Other than that I thought the idea of comparing the imperial occupation of Gorlak to the British raj was super -blam!- cool. that sort of world building is awesome, especially since it fits so well with how the empire has been characterized all these years. They even have a literal inquisition in the episode, bringing me to me to the other thing I like the episode; the Inquisitor. I was someone who grew up on Rebels and idk why but the inquisitors have always been so -blam!- cool to me. Might even call them my favorite part of the Disney canon ,even though they’ve been very poorly used In anything other than fallen order (like seriously, they’re JEDI HUNTERS and they’re always killed so easily). However, despite me feeling this way the inquisitor in the episode has to be one of my favorites design wise. From the silhouette to the way his armor combines imperial design motifs with subtle Indian embellishments, it’s all just *chefs kiss*
