RNG is a joke in this game.
No game disrespects your time like Destinjy 2 does.
Some people spend days, weeks or months trying to get certain weapons and never do.
While some numbnuts like the one posted here about having it done in 2 days get all they want in a matter of hours.

It's a player retention strategy. It's a skinner box basically I enjoy Destiny very much. However it's design by nature is this way. If you allow it to take hold and go after everything in the game, all Triumphs, ranks, perfect stats, best rolls, ECT..... * You may end up playing an obscene amount of hours lol

Edited by BIRB: 5/1/2023 3:40:40 AMIf this is true, I wonder how well it actually works out for them. Destiny is prone to having large player drops shortly after a DLCs/new seasons. Especially multiple seasons into a year, player count slims down quite a bit. In my experience I’ve completely given up on red borders. There’s not a weapon I care enough to spend hundreds of hours farming. None of my friends are chasing red borders and have already left lightfall. In my experience, if red borders were more common I know I would want to farm them and it would give me a reason to play certain activities. I wonder how many people feel this way as well. I think this philosophy works to an extent, but if they become too stingy I think it can seriously backfire.

Yeah I totally agree. Like how does the fact that this guy got it all done within 2 days makes me wrong here after I farmed for over 8 hours with no red border. Also seeing weapons I already crafted dropping hurts.
