Vanguard Rank up is absurdly slow
I've played nothing but ops and nightfalls for the last two days, it's ridiculous how slow the rankup is EVEN with the increased rank buff. I don't understand why you would make the difficulty harder/fixed but not in turn increase the rankup. It's an absolute slog and is not fun at all, coming from a 5 year veteran.

Heh, by no means I'm a pvp main, but I reseted like 4 or 5 times Shaxx rank this season while Vanguard was barely 2. The discrepancy between both ranks is huge!

They need to boost the rep for just standard strikes. Strikes are repetitive enough as is. The last thing anyone wants to do is grind the SAME strike for a week for anything close to reasonable gains

I thought it had felt really damn slow, this changing B S to increase our time played is PATHETIC on bungos part.

Heroic nightfalls give like 4-500xp, especially this week where you can speedrun the absolute daylights outta the nightfall… even the boss room is fast with fighting lion lmao

Another we nerfed XP from ranking up but forgot to put it in the patch notes… again. Ranking up vendors is horrible. Not worth my time anymore, specially Vanguard. Last season I flipped Vanguard 14 times. This season I think Im at 3?

When Bungie changed rep from a set amount for each strike to being based on score they clearly didn't test it because some strikes take longer but have less things to kill so you end up with some that at x5 with double rep only give like 150

That's destiny 2 for you. All grind no fun and heaven help you if you are looking for a particular roll of any weapon from the playlists.

They really want you to do nightfalls. Running hero gives a good bit more than a basic nightfall for only slightly longer (but a bit more effort). Definitely need more for the base playlist though.

Edited by BraddyBo: 4/29/2023 12:34:15 AMGet the multiplier up to 4x then start farming master/gm. Master/gm at 5x grants like 950 rep per run during 2x valor weeks. 2x valor weeks is when I do 80% of my farming towards the seasonal weapon ornament, same for gambit.

My Vanguard rank is 5. I will finish the season with rank 7 - 10, depending on how Guardian Games influences my playtime. I have not redeemed any Vanguard engrams lately. Currently, I have 35 of them. For comparison, I have 216 War Table engrams to redeem.

Vanguard and Gambit are pain to reset. Luckily I think they said they are doing away with the two reset system, so...

As someone that only plays strikes, you’re doing it wrong lol Nah but seriously. Most of my strikes take 15 minutes and with the champion score multiplier, it goes by pretty fast
